Visiting from Vancouver Canada where we have world class cafes. The espresso at Sawada was darker roast perfection. Cool, laid back, skater/tag culture influenced vibe. Bought a bag of X Project beans for home, especially as It's hard to find excellent darker roast in the current trend of lighter roasts. Highly recommend. X-Project. Is 100% Brazilian Arabica.

I was so disappointed with my visit today. Both my husbands Military Latte and my Matcha Latte were warm. When I say warm I’m being nice - they were cold. I couldn’t help but notice that the barista was not even steaming the milk properly which was the result of our cold lattes. A long line doesn’t justify a rushed job. Unfortunately the line was too long for us to go to the barista and ask her to redo our order. We threw them away that’s how cold they were. I’m honestly so sad this was once one of my all time favorite coffee spots that I frequented often and directed all my visitors to. It’s a shame.

This place is good if you like sweet drinks and dark roasted coffee. I wouldn’t go here if you want a light roast shot of espresso and are into specialty coffee.

The matcha quality is very poor and overall the matcha latte is way too sweet. Maybe I am biased because I had matcha in Japan. Not worth it at all for $7. Also they put a ton of ice in the drink.

Excellent cappuccino and High 5 mocha drink. The high 5 was a mocha with some spices and topped with some fresh grated orange zest, cool touch. Laidback atmosphere and friendly baristas. Also, the doughnut was good.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Coffee was great. We came in to use the wifi and a seat for a while. Grabbed coffee and a pastry; it was good.
