My favourite eatery in Union Station. The stromboli and pizza by the slice is pretty good. Reasonable prices too. They have vegetarian options in all items.

Until about a couple weeks ago they were always open on time and the food ready to start your day, the last couple weeks it's anywhere from 10-20 minutes till they open or food is ready. They might need to change their hours if they can't be open and ready to serve on the posted

Well, the food is ready as soon as you order it and the portions are large. Thr Greek salad was surprisingly crisp. The pasta was bland and plentiful. Pizza slices and garlic bread are definitely the right items to order. You can eat around the corner or take it to the great hall to eat.

Great place for a quick snack or complete meal. Much more than just pizza. Pizza's are thick crust. Vegie pizza is great. And some of the salads and pasta dishes are better than the pizzas. Seating is very limited - it's a pass though train station after all.Later:Google map location is WRONG. It is right in the main station close to the Chicago River a block east of where Google map shows it. I fixed it a few times but they keep putting it back in the wrong place. Some "off shore" contractor knows better than the people who are here every day!

I was excited to see Sbarro Pizza open up in Union Station's food court. Sometimes I get a pizza craving and Sbarro usually hits the spot. During my visit, it fell a little flat. Union Station gets busy around lunchtime as it attracts both office workers and travellers. When I visited, I timed to visit to be after the lunch rush to avoid some of the crowds. Despite not being peak hours, service here was a little slow and I received cold food - maybe they had lowered heating times to move the queue faster? Either way, everything was cold enough that I took it to go so I could warm it up in the oven at home. A head's up if you, like most people in the city, are paying with a card - Sbarro adds an up charge for the privilege of paying with your card. This is something I find to be super annoying, as this is a basic cost of business in 2023, particularly in a city like Chicago where many businesses are cashless.

Excellent service, especially from the lady who charged us (Lupita). Very delicious pizza and accompaniments.

Really good food. Better than most Sbarros. I ordered too much though and I had to leave it because my train probably wouldn't have a fridge. Some lady dug it out of the trash and enjoyed it. Just shows how good sbarro really is.

Worst pizza i ever had, all bread/dough, and about 1/8 inch of actual toppings. I picked off the toppings and threw out the rest. They make it look good, but is 90% dough.

Italian and fast food - not a common combination, however Sbarro offers both and they do a really good job of it. There are lots of locations including in Union Station's food court (mezzanine level/Jackson Street side) and in the Millennium station on Michigan and Randolph. They offer about 15 different pizza choices which you can buy whole or by the slice - several are New York style (foggedabboutit - this is Chicago, we don't need no New York City pizza) - oh yes we do - it's got a great chewy/crispy thin crust and a whole lotta cheese and toppings. They also offer a heartier version pan pizza crust loaded with all your fave toppings. They have deals like 2 giant slices and a side (pasta, salad or breadsticks) and a drink for a very reasonable price. They also have family packs that have pizza, pasta, sides - enough for 1-2 meals again at a price that won't break the bank. They serve a number of Italian pastas with various sauces, vegetables, meatballs, sausages/onions/peppers, salads (Greek, Caesar and tossed), fresh fruit bowl or large chocolate chunk cookies.

This Sbarro location provides average Italian pizza & related takeout food in Union Station's food court. The Italian Stromboli I had for a quick dinner was decent. Note there can be limited food choices inside the Union Station's food court, and this place stayed open longer than some of the others; an advantage when your Amtrak t4rain from the West Cost was running late (as mine was).

I remember Sbarro being soggy pizza at Ohio rest stops when I was growing up, so I never thought I'd be writing a review to say that the Union Station Sbarro is actually...outstanding. The guy taking orders was energetic and friendly, and the food is super fresh and delicious. Had a stromboli and a lasagna that were both great. I don't know if it's just this location, but it's possible Sbarro has actually turned things around!

Shouldn’t even call it pizza, they serve cheese on bread with a dash of sauce on their slices

This should have NO stars. They were rude and refused to serve customers their complete order. Additionally they emptied out all the food options as people were ordering and throwing them away as folks were in line waiting for food. The counters (customer and kitchen side) were filthy. Instead of putting my food in a bag they just threw it at me. For reference this was 7:30 pm on May 11 2013.
