I tried to get scones here twice before 11AM and they had nothing. The Starbucks across the street had more scones available. Oh well.

We came for their gluten free option which they were out of (@11 on Sunday, maybe reasonable if it was busy?). The Tiffany chai I ordered was okay, they accidentally made me two and gave me the second one at no charge which was nice. My friend ordered a hot chocolate, but they accidentally made a latte. I also ordered a lemon herb ricotta scone which was pretty good--very moist for a scone. I'd say if I was rating this place on the gluten-ful scones alone I'd have given this a 5, unfortunate about the mixups with the service.

Ran into Scone City on the way to lunch. Had the Serrano pepper chorizo chihuahua cheese cilantro scone which simply was amazing. I also tried the Brie honey thyme hmmm you can never go wrong eating something with Brie in it. Hopefully I'll be around the neighborhood soon to try more great scones!!!!

How have I never left a review for Scone City? My wife and I visited Wicker Park as our first vacation back in 2015 when we still dating. We saw Scone City while walking and thought it sounded fun, so we stopped in. We were unprepared for just how amazing of a treat we would find. To this day, and I have tried looking, Scone City makes the best scones I have ever had and nothing else is close. We live in Cleveland and we ALWAYS make a stop at Scone City when we visit Chicago (which is once or twice a year).

I've been back to this place a few more times since my original review to try new scones and some of the their coffee. This is probably my new favorite pastry place in Chicago. So far I've tried their brie honey thyme scone, the kale parmesan scone, the buttermilk scone with cream & jam, their breakfast scone, and their cinnamon chip scone with cream & jam. Brie, honey & thyme: 10/10 easily the best I've tried Buttermilk scone with cream & jam: 6/10 This one was just okay. Normally, I like basic scones but something about this one was a little off and it wasn't made better by the cream & jam. I think maybe the sprinkling of sugar on top was not needed. Kale parmesan: 7/10 Not bad but not something I'd get again Breakfast scone: 7/10 Same as the kale parmesan in terms of rating. Cinnamon chip scone with cream & raspberry jam: 9/10 I tend to prefer more savory scones these days so I was surprised by how much I liked having a sweet scone with cream & jam! This was delicious and something about the slight spiciness of the cinnamon with the cream and fruity jam was great. Maple oat milk latte: 6/10 This was just okay. The milk was steamed very well, not burnt but the flavors didn't wow me. I'd prefer Philz or the vanilla almond milk latte from Tous Les Jour down the street. Overall, I really love this place, and I'm excited to try their gruyere and cheddar-herb scones the next time I go back!

Like actually amazing. Stumbled upon this neighborhood spot on a walk to Philz, and was definitely not disappointed by the scone!! The savory ones looked amazing too, would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Apparently I've been living under a rock, because I just discovered this wicker park gem. I wandered in, right as they opened, on a Saturday morning, and was warmly greeted by Jess. Another employee cheerfully explained their best sellers and their limited time selections, and I happily picked out one sweet and one savory. I made my way upstairs, to eat and get some work done. The store is bright and airy, and Jess buzzes around, checking in with her regulars, and making small talk with the newbies. It reminds me of a cafe, in my small hometown, where everyone knows everyone. The scones were amazing (the breakfast scone and the maple bacon), and I will definitely be back for more!

Great selection of drinks on top of being the best scones I've ever eaten. Their menu accommodates most food allergies or preferences. Plus, doggie scones. It's a really nice looking place and if I lived closer I'd be there far more often.

The cherry almond scone is the best ever. Wonderful service. Great variety. The scones sell out early on the weekends so don't come late!

SCONE SPECIALISTS???? This place is for ALL you scone lovers out there who want freshly baked scones of amazing flavor profiles. It's also for all you non-scone fanatics who will soon realize why scones make such a great snack/breakfast/dessert/guilty pleasure. I came by around 10am on a Saturday and there were still a good amount of flavors to choose from. Sweet. Savory. The hardest part is picking which ones to buy because you just want to try them ALL! I came in with the intention of getting one scone and ended up leaving with TWO despite telling myself that I'll be the one that ends up eating them all. And... I don't regret it. I got the blueberry with lemon glaze and the chocolate toffee. I equally loved both and honestly, the flavors you end up buying just come down to what you're craving in that moment. You seriously can't go wrong with any of them. The staff was very friendly and will help you narrow down your choices if you're having trouble deciding like I did. Coffee is also available for purchase. There are a few tables inside to dine in. The shop is brightly lit and makes a good breakfast catch up spot with friends or a date. Overall: Come here. Become a scone enthusiast. Keep it up scone city!
