Scoops Dessert Bar

There is no menu posted in the shop, only small pieces of paper with some items listed and scattered throughout the place. And there are no prices listed anywhere. I got a cookie (regular size) with a scoop of ice cream on top and it came to over 12.00! I am all for supporting a vegan business and I expect to pay a little more but this was outrageous. I can't help but think that the lack of transparency about the pricing is on purpose.

Great customer service and tasty GF & Vegan treats! I live out of state and was looking for a GF and vegan place to send something sweet to my daughter for her birthday. My other daughter found Scoops Dessert Bar online so I called them to see if they deliver on Sundays, which they do! Brittany (who I spoke with and is also the owner) was patient with all my questions and flexible with my change in delivery time (no delivery fee!). I ended up ordering a variety pack of four ice cream sandwiches. Brittany said she would write a birthday greeting on the box. They were delivered at time requested. My daughter was thrilled by this “sweet” surprise! She sent the attached photo and said she tried a bit of the cookie and it was delicious. She also asked me for their info so she can visit them in person (they make GF churros every other weekend, next on her list to try!).

Was super excited to try this spot. Paid for parking and tried to come in at 5pm on a Saturday and they were closed. Door said open till 8pm on Saturday and online said open as well. No sign indicating reason for closing. Pretty disappointed because this was on our list of places to stop while in town and I lost out on money for parking.

Im literally obsessed with Scoops! Not only do all these treats taste so delicious, but I also can’t believe it’s all Vegan! Makes my tummy so happy to be able to enjoy these tasty desserts without inflaming my tummy with dairy!.I also absolutely love the owner Brittany! She’s so sweet and you see her passion come out in her work! ?

Good texture and taste but the blueberry muffin was raw in the middle. For a $7 muffin I’d hoped for baked. Edited to add: I bake gluten free very often and know what raw is. It was cooked on top but there was unbaked batter in the middle. It could have been because of the blueberries, but it was definitely not because of the different ingredients used. The pumpkin muffin was done but over baked, dry and chewy. I didn’t bring it to the attention of the staff because I took it to go. Not trying to wreck your business, just provide my experience and feedback so you’re aware of some issues. I’m always happy to try gluten free bakeries when I travel.

DELICIOUS ice cream and dessert!! Tanaeja took such good care of us - her recommendations were flawless and she was so kind and friendly!We were here for a girl’s weekend getaway from out of town and this was our final stop on our final day, and it was the sweetest way to end our trip.The shop also has the CUTEST swing seats, and an incredible greenery wall - super cute photo opps!

Love this place! Stumbled upon Scoops by happy accident last year and my life is forever changed. It's such a blessing to find gluten free, dairy free, corn free desserts! I love their mini donuts, cupcakes, and regular sized donuts. Especially the apple cider donut. Everything is amazing, I highly recommend...will always make a special stop here when I'm in the city!

I ordered one sundae, which was a warm apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream and brownie crumble topping. It was tasty and flavorful! Tanaeja was knowledgeable about available dessert options and answered my questions during the decision making process.

I am obsessed with this place. I don’t even live in Chicago, but I work for a company based here and every business trip I look forward to going hog wild at Scoops. I live in San Francisco and while we have plenty of gf + v baked good options, none compare to Scoops! 10/10 would recommend, a must try, even my non-vegan, gluten-eating colleagues love it.

We were downtown and stumbled into this adorable little ice cream shop. It was so great to find out how allergy friendly they are. We don’t eat dairy and I can’t have gluten. I loved that I could have this delicious brownie cookie and my family could enjoy ice cream, without worrying. Everything we had was delicious ? thank you ?

I happened to enter as the lovely lady needed to get rid of an ice cream and brownie used for a photo. It put me in great spirits, as did the cute décor and the also-delicious muffin I bought afterwards! Love my desserts - often hard as a vegan - so hope to try more if I am ever back in Chicago!

Scoops is a neighborhood favorite ! Highly recommended, me and my daughter come here all the time , I love that Scoops has healthy dairy free options.I've even brought my mother who is lactose intolerant and she absolutely loved it. Best vegan dessert bar in town !!

Scoops Dessert Bar is the best new food offering that has come to the Gold Coast/River North area in some time. Its Millennial owner, Brittany Gumbiner, completely gets it — from the excellent vegan desserts, to the convenient location, to the diverse set of team members she employs. The ice cream and cookies are great and the service, equally so. Five Stars, without hesitation.
