Review for See Through Number Eight Chinese Kitchen – A Disappointing Experience

On September 4th, I visited See Through Number Eight Chinese Kitchen, a place I’ve frequented many times before. I ordered a watermelon smoothie, a drink I’ve enjoyed on several occasions. However, this time was different—and not in a good way.

As I was finishing the smoothie, I noticed something unusual floating at the bottom of the cup. Upon closer inspection, I discovered a hair submerged in the drink. The realization was both revolting and deeply unsettling. In that moment, I couldn’t help but think back to all the previous times I had ordered the same smoothie. Had this happened before without me noticing?

In an age where food safety and hygiene should be paramount, especially in establishments serving the public, this kind of oversight is unacceptable. It’s not just about a single hair—it’s about the trust customers place in businesses to provide clean, safe food. That trust was broken.

I sincerely hope the management at See Through Number Eight takes this feedback seriously and implements stricter hygiene protocols. Until then, I won’t be returning, and I urge others to think twice before dining here.

I'm soooo happy that See Thru Kitchen open back up!! The price is good and the portions are enormous--it's definitely worth it!! It's been about 4 or 5 yrs and the food is still hot and delicious as we remembered!! We get a large shrimp egg foo young, small chicken fried rice and a small string bean w/chicken--the best, always!!

rudest customer service ever and food is worse then dog food the people who work there talk about you i spok the language and herd every word also all the food is nasty and smells spoiled and not fresh ingredients we all got worst food poisoning never ever give them business u will be sorry

The portions are huge. Enough for two people to eat. Food is good, prices fair but no restrooms for customers. Seating is limited for dine in. The restaurant is really set up for take out.

I've been coming here for years. And it has never been disappointed. The food is very tasty and the portions are better than the rest.
Their smoothies are incredible. You can taste the fresh fruit.

This is by far my favorite location! Service is always great. Great food, and they adhere to my food restrictions, which is a major plus! And it's for that reason why I've placed multiple orders with this location either on-site or over the phone!

Food & Custumer Service Is HORRIBLY Horrific Nowadays!! Woman At Women Hollered At Me Over A Lunch Meal Whereas I’d Only Eaten Very small portion of the orange chicken, which tastes like beef jerky With Orange Sauce. She Was Utmost tacky, uncouth, unethical & Rude & unprofessional. Orange Chicken Was Gummy had very little meat But Lots Of Breading Mixed With OrangeSauce ONLY?! I’ve come into this restaurant a lot when I used to be a bus operator but now after a doctor appointment, I needed some nutritional food and I guess the lady didn’t recognize me and she gave me what assembly was Garbage or old orange chicken with soggy, looking broccoli. Rest assured I’ll never come to this restaurant again! She very disrespectful. I wasn’t even arguing with her. I just simply showed her the mail and I didn’t ask her for a refund. They told me they give me a refund before I came back there but then when I got here, another lady argued me down.

i ordered the L3 shrimp egg foo young. after eating it i felt hard pieces in my mouth. Its the steel wool from them cleaning the pans between orders. no telling how many i ate. I threw up 3 times walking back to show them. they gave me my money back but has runied me for eating any more chinese food. never again. Horrible food
