Checked this off tonight and did not disappoint. Tall coat rack because #winter and nothing worse than sitting with your coat in your lap/having it drag on a slushy dirty floor. Disco/dancing music, perfect! GREAT food that was not rushed - plenty of time between courses.

Food is great! Atmosphere is lovely too! Just good vibes all around. It’s a great way to elevate your weeknight or weekend and support a local restaurant.

A hidden gem. Simply the best Italian pasta in Chicago.

We were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant, with the hostess telling us that we needed to hurry through our dinner because someone else had reserved our table at 7pm (leaving us still over 90 minutes to eat which would not have been any kind of problem). We found this extremely off-putting, and felt rushed the entire meal. Aside from that the food was fairly bland, and quite overpriced for what we were getting. Wine is served in cheap water glasses. The arancini was the highlight of the meal, but honestly not nearly enough to justify the River North prices all the way out in Humboldt Park, or to justify the rushed table service that we received. If looking for a quality Italian place around town, you can definitely do better.

I'm surprised to see this place having so many good reviews- maybe it's changed since I went for the one and only time that I've been there! I ordered a salad for dinner and when it came to the table it was a warm plate of beans and some greens which wasn't exactly the "salad" I was looking for and the server didn't mention anything when I ordered. They also brought us a doughnut on the house with a bday candle in it because we were celebrating a birthday but it was so stale it was inedible- it kind of vibed like they wanted the table back which they could have just told us. Service wasn't great overall. There are better Italian places in the city with bigger portions for the money so I don't think I'll be coming back.

From the vintage/comfy ambiance to the food, this is an excellent local restaurant! We enjoyed how they spotlighted a local female wine producers, the olives and pasta were delicious and the staff was a delight!

Very very disappointing. Noisy, loud music, awful ambiance. Service was less than mediocre bordering on non-existant, fish (Braziano) was overcooked, pasta under seasoned… just a below average local restaurant with Goodwill level furnishings. Martini served in a dessert wine glass- $280 for 5 before “gratuity”. A total waste of money.

I would avoid this restaurant…

Leek pasta and lasagna were amazing! Took a while to get seated, however they did give us wine to make up for it which was very nice!

Honestly super outstanding experience. Came here for a friends birthday and had a nice size group of 10. Their service all around was outstanding. Drinks. Apps. Entrees. All arrived without a hitch. The food was delicious. Everyone loved their meals. Vibes were intimate and cozy without being pretentious. 10/10!!!

Came for a small brunch with our toddler. Can’t wait to go back for dinner just the two of us. The biscuit is amazing!!!!! Great breakfast sandwich and fries too! A total neighborhood gem.

Food was nice and service was good. Unfortunately, halfway through our meal, I needed to use the bathroom. I went into their water closet and there was Christian imagery all over the walls. With a picture of Jesus right next to the toilet. Definitely not appropriate for a bathroom. It was very anatagonizing and offensive. This completely ruined the experience and I will not be coming back.

I’ve been wanting to visit Segnatore for their dinner service & it did not disappoint. Portions were ideal for sharing & we left full but not stuffed. The Crab Chitarra was absolutely delicious as were the oyster shooters. We also ordered the duck which was a special that night—I’m not a fan of duck, but this was so tender, seasoned well, & melted in my mouth. Our server, Jack, was great—personable & helpful us decide on dishes.

The space is cozy—not overwhelmingly large, not cramped. Would recommend making a reservation for a weekend as it started to get crowded as we were leaving. I love the ambiance of this restaurant with its dark wood & dim lighting which is perfect for date nights. An incredibly satisfying meal from start to finish!

Ordered the rigatoni primavera and lamb ravioli. Unfortunately, the former was bland and the latter just tasted somewhat strange. Palettes notwithstanding, the portions of both entrees were undoubtedly small and overall not worth the price. They also have a 4.5% surcharge because they don't pay their employees a living wage. Our server was friendly and I enjoyed my cocktail.

Maybe it was an off night, but I won't be back.
