my husband and i had stopped here a few times after eating at rootstock across the street for espresso, but we decided tonight to finally give the food a try! we are totally blown away. per usual, the service is 10/10. friendly, helpful, and all around a great environment. the food was stellar, and our drinks were unique and impressive. we will definitely be back!

Attended the Women in Wine Dinner and had a lovely experience - every detail was so thoughtful from the live music to the welcome cocktails to the perfect pairings of wine and food.My favorite dish was braised lamb shank, but honestly all five courses were delicious and so unique.Definitely recommend this spot for some unique Italian dishes!

Went back last night for our 5th visit. Third time for dinner and have been twice for brunch. Absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant in the city. We went for the first time right after they opened and have been loyal since. It's easy, the food is excellent, portions are perfect, service is good, and drinks are great. Couldn't ask for anything more.

So happy this restaurant exists in the world. The service is top notch, attentive but not smothering, knowledgeable and kind. The food... THE FOOD! The star of every meal... simply divine. Pasta perfectly cooked, not overly sauced or over thought with stuff on top of stuff. My only wish is that I had more stomachs so I could sample more dishes in a single visit.Parking: Plan to arrive a little before your reservation time to allow for parking hunt

Love this place. Excellent oysters, and the scallop appetizer was delicious. Try the kale cappelini with bleu cheese.

Our second time at Segnatore. This is a special place. Food is fantastic but it's also the service which is attentive and personal without being cloying. Musts: fried olives, meatballs, freestyle "lasagna".

Let me start by saying I was born and raised in Humboldt Park. When I heard of Segnatore, I was excited to check it out. All the food was actually good, no complaints. Even the wine, very good. BUT, I might not come back ever again. Came in for restaurant week, but the service was sub par. As someone who work in the industry, I was let down. Each course took more, and more, and more time to come out. Four course, from beginning to end, took a total of 3 hours to come out. While the courses were good, they were also very small, like appetizers. So keep that in mind when dining here.

Overall we had a good experience and a good time. But for the price I would have expected better service and better dishes. Chicago has many more Italian restaurant options that I feel are better.

Lasagna was so fing good. Also the interior design is so cute. We didn’t have a reservation had to wait about 30 minutes for two seats at the bar.

Our time at Segnatore was excellent! For apps, we got oysters, burrata, and the meatballs. I think the meatballs were the star here. For dinner, we shared a few entrees: the Leek Gramigna, Freestyle "Lasagna," andSmoked Tri-Tip Steak. Out of these, the pastas were the best, especially the lasagna. We capped off the night with espresso martinis, which were probably the best in the city. Overall, would definitely return for the great food and ambiance!
