The wings were greasy, tasteless, and extremely small with a few feathers. They charge $2 for Hennessy BBQ sauce and the cup is tiny. You would think it would be free since the wings are so terrible! The White Mac and Cheese was also tasteless and extremely oily. It also had almost no cheese. Just tasteless macaroni. Even my 10yr old said the food was disgusting! Very disappointing especially because I paid $21 for this awful meal!! Only fit for the garbage!

Great Vibes Great Drinks and Food EXACTLY what you want from a neighborhood spot! Oh and did I forget Hookah! They also have happy hour specials which were just right for me and my crew! The food 10/10 Catfish Mac N Cheese and the YAMS please get the YAMS 10/10! The white Mac n cheese they ran out and also the green beans! I was told they’re really popular dishes so I will definitely be back to try those!

Since Shake A Leg opened their doors, the food has stayed consistently delicious, flavorful, and fresh. The customer service is always warm and welcoming, which makes every visit feel like family.
Some of my absolute favorites are the cabbage with oxtails and the lamb chops ,seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. There’s something about the way they prepare their dishes, especially with that touch of male cooking, that just hits different.
This is a Black-owned, family-run gem that really puts love and care into every plate. Highly recommend if you’re looking for soulful, home-style meals that never disappoint!

Was visiting from Kansas City, after Church we were looking for some soul food we found this spot, the food was top tier the presentation and taste was on point, the atmosphere was nice and clean 4 stars my homegirl was wanting chicken and they were out but other than it was great..

The food was great, perfectly seasoned and piping hot. I ordered the oxtail dinner. There was a 20 minute wait period. then I took my takeout to go... when I got home, I was very very disappointed. I spent close to $40. After taxes. Just to receive 4 oxtail bones that were thin cut. I believe that I was overcharged for that oxtail, dinner. I had more potatoes and more string beans, then I had meat.
Will I be going back to Shake A Leg? I'm sorry to say, but NO!!!!. Customers beware.

Myself and 2 family members visited this spot yesterday. Neither of us ever heard of this restaurant. When I tell you we felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in until we left out. The atmosphere was so relaxing, food seasoned well and 1 of tre owners was so friendly and made she we were happy with everything. P.S. the prices were very reasonable. Check them out you will not be disappointed.

I recently visited this restaurant twice, hoping to support a Black-owned business in the community. Unfortunately, both visits left me disappointed. I wanted to try their fried shrimp on my first visit, but they were out of it.
I decided to give them another chance and returned a second time, arriving 10 minutes before they opened at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. When they finally opened, I tried ordering their jerk chicken egg rolls, only to be told that they weren’t available that day either.
It’s frustrating to see such inconsistency and lack of preparation, primarily when the business relies on community support. Sadly, I won’t be back. I hope they can improve their availability and customer service in the future.

Place is nice food is good although I’ve only tried their pasta last time I went for a pick up order the girl right away addressed me said give me a moment I’ll be right with you while she finished with her other customer.This time nothing I stood there for 5 minutes and nothing that’s when i stepped in and said I’m here for a pick up for Miriam while she was with a customer my bad for that but she rolled her eyes and said give me a min .Then after that I was on the side waiting she took care of someone who walked up like huh you saw me there.I did an online order their system is down I get it I showed her my order she looked at it once took her time then went back and asked for my order one more time took her sweet time writing things down which I get but why not do it the 1st time.Then says they don’t have it bc of the system said it would take 15-20 minutes I said I can’t wait I have a break of 30 minutes already waited enough and her response is just cancel it on the website I go on the website and it doesn’t. Allow me to do now I have to dispute it like what overall place is good but that cashier needs to be trained better with customer service rude and very slow to work in a restaurant bring back the other girls

I recently visited your establishment on 6/22/25 with my wife and wanted to share our experience. We were seated at table 8 but, unfortunately, after waiting for about 20 minutes, no one approached us to take our order, offer water, or provide basic table settings like napkins or utensils. Feeling overlooked, we eventually decided to leave.
I genuinely appreciate and support black-owned businesses, which is why this was particularly disappointing. I hope you can address this issue to improve the customer experience for future patrons.
