Spoiled Food & Zero Quality Control
I’m honestly shocked this came from Shake Shack. I ordered a Bacon Avocado Burger, paid extra for avocado, picked it up in person, walked home through snow in 20-degree weather… only to take a few bites and realize something was very wrong.
When I opened the burger, the avocado was completely brown, mushy, and visibly spoiled. It looked (and tasted) rotten — the photos speak for themselves. It’s not just disappointing; it’s a food safety issue. How this was allowed to be assembled and handed to a customer is beyond me.
I couldn’t eat it and had to throw the entire thing away. For the price Shake Shack charges, this level of negligence is unacceptable. Absolutely no quality control. I will not be returning to this location unless they seriously fix their standards.
Walk the extra 5 minutes and invest on Small Cheval. I am still nauseous just from thinking I ate half of it until I realized the issue.

DO NOT EAT HERE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! My job ordered here as a treat for everyone. We were so excited to try their Holiday Shakes. The order comes on Uber, and it came with no drinks. The driver said that the employees told him there were no drinks even though there were.
We mark it as missing, and re-order. The second order comes with the shakes, and they're completely melted, it's in liquid form.
I call the store and ask where we go from here, and the employee said she would refund it within 3-5 business days. I ask her if we got the same drinks from the first order, and the employee confirmed that we did.
This is against the health code. With dairy items like shakes, they have to be kept under 41 degrees. These were sitting out long enough to melt completely, and ride around with the second driver.
This is absolutely disgusting and I'm truly appalled. My supervisor then tried to call to ask for our money back from the first order and they never answered the phone after that. I submitted a complaint to corporate and NONE of us will be going back for a long time. We're lucky none of us took a sip of it, or we could be sick.

Could not figure out where to pick up and then they were super rude. And the chocolate shake tastes like bus exhaust fumes. Had to throw it out. Waste of $6.

Ooof, Shake Shack has gone downhill from their startup days in NY. Ordered a Dubai shake, chicken burger, and soda. The Dubai shake was filled up about 3/4 of the way up the cup with melted ice cream (for $10), the chicken burger was tiny and flat ($9), and the soda was flat. I have no proof, but I'm convinced they're cutting corners and shrinkflating everything on top of already being more expensive than other similar fast food places. RIP the shake shack I loved in NY.
Jimmy is the shit, give that man a raise!!

Normally we love this chain, but this location isn't as good. Kiosks are a pain. Code needed for bathrooms.

I have always loved Shake Shack and personally prefer their hamburgers to any other fast food option. However, on this particular day, I had mixed feelings. My partner and I ordered our usual meals, but our total ended up being twice as high as what we typically spend at other Shake Shack locations across the USA.
I can’t deny that the food is great and the staff is friendly. However, the pricing hit my wallet hard, similar to how the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street would chomp down on it. I assumed the higher prices were due to the location being close to Wrigley Field, unless I'm mistaken. 😕 Regardless of the cost, I still recommend this place.
Although I’ve lived in Atlanta, I never tried Shake shack so I decided to try it with my friend here in Chicago. It was close to the Wrigleyville market night and was not very busy inside. It was easy to order from the screen and the food took an average amount of time to come out. I got the mushroom burger and it was very tasty although a bit of a small burger. It hit the spot. I shared the spicy fries with a friend and they were a bit on the actual spicy side, but still good. The banana shake was awesome and just what I wanted. Staff were very busy with online and take out orders, but we’re still helpful when I asked for a dipping sauce. Plenty of seating and a nice atmosphere to eat your food with your friend.
