I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM HERE TIL I DID. IT'S BOTHERED ME EVER SINCE OCT 2025. I JUST TRIED TO LET IT GO. BUT NO, I HAVE TO SAY THIS; I ORDERED A PAN ( 50 PIECES) OF FRIED CRISPY CATFISH FILLETS FOR MY BIRTHDAY. IT WASN'T CATFISH FILLETS OR CRISPY. I DIDN'T TAKE IT BACK NOR DID I CALL. THIS PLACE HAS ALWAYS HAD GOOD FISH AND HERE IS WHERE I COME TO GET IT; NO MATTER WHERE I'VE LIVED IN CHICAGO. I FELT LET DOWN. SO I LET IT GO OR SO I THOUGHT. IK IT'S WAY AFTER THE FACT BUT I JUST HAD TO SAY IT SO I CAN LET IT GO!! AND I REALIZE IT DEPENDS ON WHO IS IN THE KITCHEN COOKING. MAKE SURE ITS MARKED ON THE RECEIPT WHAT YOU ORDERED AND LOOK AT YOUR FISH REAL GOOD. IF YOU'RE NOT FAMILAR WITH BUYING FISH MAKE SURE YOU BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU WHO IS.

Sharks you have to find a better way to seal your delivery orders from doordash I made a order from doordash today and it looked like someone had taken the paper off of it and tampered with my food. I had to dump it because I was unsure what was happening but that has never happened to me and I did inform doordash about this issue

I am very dissatisfied with the fact that the chicken is hard and dry. The skin on my chicken is too hard to chew and masticate. It’s just not good. I feel like I wasted my money buying $50 worth of food for my family

Incredible chicken! Wonderful staff! Super friendly atmosphere! Quick service! I could go on, but I believe you get the point that this was an incredible experience for me. I drove from Texas to visit with family over the 4th of July weekend, and they took me here for lunch. I was utterly blown away by this family-friendly neighborhood establishment. The staff greeted me with a pleasant and professional attitude, and 10 minutes later, I had some of the best-tasting chicken wings that would have made my mother AND sisters wonder if someone had given away their secret seasoning recipe! I am a professional chicken eater, and let me tell you this place is one of maybe 5 in the world that I know of that can cook southern tasting food that I would be willing to drive over a thousand miles to eat! Do yourself a favor and just go there. You will not be disappointed, I promise! If you don't like it, I will buy your next lunch; that's how confident I am that you will love it. To the team at the restaurant, see you next year when I use the excuse of visiting my family to hide my real intentions to come back just for your fantastic food! I am going to scarf down the catfish on that occasion, along with anything else I can get my hands on from your menu.
