I stopped in this lovely bakery and cafe today. I am based out of Iowa, but spent time in Kyiv, Ukraine in April of this year. It was a wonderful experience regardless of circumstances. I think it is wonderful how Chicago has Ukrainian Village, and stands with Ukraine. The nice lady recommended a chocolate n cherry cake that was very good. I will return to have a meal sometime. πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦
I work in the area, I have been to go in one day. I ordered the mushroom Panini without goat cheese it was amazing. I went back the next day. What I really like about this place, there are no french fries. Besides there are carrot salad add cabbage salad. Both were amazing. I'm going to try the eggplant cold sandwhich next. The menu is mostly meet items. I believe there are only two options for vegetarians. I think. But worth the almost $17.
This is a wonderful, warm, friendly place that feels very Ukrainian. Cozy, warm, cheerful, direct. Their Π±ΠΎΡ€Ρ‰ is a little marvel, light yet savory, a little tart, even a little sweet.

Shokolad is far away in Europe, right in the middle of Chicago.

It was a pleasure.
