The new owners here are great (used to be Opart Thai, which was our favorite Thai place in Chicago before they moved during the pandemic). Siam Rice is AMAZING and new favorite in Chicago! :)

The food was disappointing and they charge for veggies on pad thai. Be aware. I've seen Thai restaurants charge extra for meats but never for frozen veggies they seem to use. This makes this restaurant unique.

They say to judge a thai restaurant by their tom yum and sum tum salad and they were perfect. The ingredients were fresh and you could taste the complexity of each dish. We had the salmon in panang and the basil fried rice and everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. As i was was walking to the bathroom i caught a glimpse of the kitchen, it was spotless. Loved the food, and i am looking forward to enjoying everything on the menu in the future

We're so happy another Thai restaurant came into this space! The owner was welcoming and pleasant! The Tom Yum and Tom Kha were delicious and perfectly spicy. Tiger Cry was good too, more like a steak and less like the one we were used to, but well prepared! My wife liked the PadThai. My only recommendation would be more veggies and prepared just slightly, so they keep their crunch!

We dine at Siam Rice at least once or twice a month if not more. The food is delicious and they are more than willing to alter dishes to suit your taste. It is byob which keps the cost down. The Kenom Jeeb appetizer is our favorite and we always start with it. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here and will be back soon.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I am disgusted by how I was treated at this establishment. I ordered the panang curry for pick up. As I was eating my food, I noticed there was white flakes in my food. I immediately called them & told them, they offered me restaurant credit & I explained to them that I don’t feel comfortable eating from this place & would want my money back. I was then told to call back the next day to speak with the manager. I called the next day and the employee on the phone was very rude. I told her what happened & asked to speak with the manager. She was combative was cutting me off while I was explaining to her how upset I was. She told me that I can’t speak to manager and then hung up on me. I have NEVER been disrespected at a restaurant like this.

Its mediocre overall. Staff are friendly, food non offensive. Issue with the food is its bland, does not taste bad or anything just not as flavorful and nearly any other thai place I've had before.

This restaurant has really changed Over the years. I used to love coming here to grab the cashew chicken. I never recall having pineapples In this dish. It adds unnecessary sweetness to the dish. When I asked the person taking my order was the recipe altered he said No but that was false. PINEAPPLES DON’T GO IN A DISH THAT SUPPOSED TO BE SPICY. I placed an order a few days ago and the guy who was working the cash register had a mouth full of food trying to see which order was mine. That was so unprofessional. Lunch breaks should be taken off the clock not while assisting customers. When I got home with the food all of the juice was in the bottom of the bag and the container was ruined. I asked for Extra veggies and they gave me vegetables that don’t even belong in this dish such as Broccoli. They were just doing anything. I was very unsatisfied with the service and the overall meal. I think I’ll try my luck for authentic Thai cuisine at another Thai restaurant.

Excellent food and service. They serve a good variety of curries and rice and noodle dishes. I was in the area for the week of the American Geophysical conference and went there a whopping 4 times!

I came here for Dinner I’ve been coming here for 3 years! And I recently came and everything was disgusting and gross! They’re saying it’s new owners but wow! Vegetable rolls were soggy, green curry had no flavor! Siam rolls chicken had a bad after taste and every time I order tiger cries it’s something different!
