The inside doesn't look like much but I was down if I was sacrificing looks for authenticity. But this place was very ehh. The service wasn't very welcoming. The chicken satay was good. I ordered the Sweet & Sour chicken but there wasn't very much protein. The pad Thai beef had rubbery noodles and the beef was tough and lacked flavor. It was $46 for the app and 2 entrees. I'd just go ahead and eat somewhere else.

Ok so I was inspired to order from here and I’m still in shock from my meal. I ordered noodles and they tasted like water, and they gave me a broth that looked like it was boiled from the ground. Not good. Also the meal came with a singular chopstick.

Ordered UBEReats. My mom wishes there was 2.5 star, but when did you change the crab Rangoon and think customers wouldn’t notice? I’ve yet to have a chive dominate mushy crab Rangoon (pic below). I’m taken aback as who doesn’t love crab Rangoon. Fried rice was meh today.

I will never from Siam again . I have been a customer for 10 + years and yesterday I ordered food and called to make sure my order would be correct . Once I received my order it was still wrong and the guy I spoke with initially lied and said I didn’t speak with him nor order from Siam. My order was a big costly order to receive this type of service is unbelievable and unacceptable.

I went here with my friend on a windy day and got the dinner special. We also split the chive dumplings. The dumplings were very cozy and the sauce was really good alongside them. For the special, I got the green curry and the curry was one of the best I’ve had. It was served with an egg roll (very crispy, the dough was delicious) and soup, which was also really good. The staff is really nice and the food came in good timing. Calm atmosphere and the place is really cozy as well. Overall I would definitely recommend.

I was in the Hyde Park Area in Chicago and my dad and I were going to get a deli sandwich and we happened upon this delightful place. I grew up going to restaurants in this area. We were immediately greeted by a member of the waitstaff who promptly seated us. We decided to split a plate, and to add a couple of things and the servings were generous. It was enough for my dad to take a little snack home for tomorrow. We ordered the dinner special and we had chicken fried rice, soup, an egg roll, and a cucumber salad. We also ordered spring roll and everything was delicious and fresh. There was a generous amount of chicken breast, and vegetables. The staff was so friendly and they were very accommodating. The soup was so delicious we ordered some for my dad to take home.

Not real thai food. Owner had no idea how to make thom kha gai and argued with me when I tried to take if off the bill because I did not like this version that they prepared. I ordered thom kha gai and got something closer to tom yum with chicken and mushroom. Told me this is because we are in chicago and not in thailand. Rude and clueless guy, go next door and learn from them how to prepare it, there are like 2 other Thai restaurants on the same street that make it properly.

We had a great dinner here. We ordered curry fried rice w/ beef and pad thai w/ chicken. The dinner set comes with salad, soup and spring roll. We enjoy the soup the best.

Was once our go to spot for years. Sadly the food has been bland lately ( lunch dishes & eggrolls). Maybe there are new cooks. Sorry can no longer recommend.

Long story short: we got sick today after our meal and cannot recommend.

Went here earlier today with a date. I love a hole in the wall with authentic cuisine and was hoping for that experience today. I ordered beef with garlic sauce, a soup and Thai tea. My date ordered shrimp with lobster sauce.

I'm a pretty adventurous eater and I love Thai, my date has never had it but likes to try new things. I explained that Thai shrimp w lobster sauce will not be the same as Chinese.

There was one party finishing their meal when we arrived, and we were the only ones in the restaurant remaining. This was around 730pm. Our server rushed us to decide on our meals. Food was served fairly quickly.

My soup was great, but both our entrees were not just disappointing, but inedible. They were served on flat plates- both with very watery, muddy brown sauce, that would clearly be cold within a few minutes.

My date took one bite and could not continue, he said it tasted weird. I picked up a piece of what might resemble some shredded lobster from his plate and it was spongy and tasted of spoiled seafood.

We asked for the check and our server was surprised that we did not take any of the food ordered with us to go. We left full plates behind. We did not request refund or meal replacement.

Within two hours we both were sick. Cannot recommend for service, atmosphere or cuisine.

After a visit to MSI, my family was looking for a place to eat on the way home. We chose Siam Thai on a whim.

The atmosphere is quaint, but cozy. There was not a great exchange of pleasantries, but they were polite.

The food was AMAZING! I realized that in the north suburbs, what we had to settle for in lackluster Thai Food, was worth the wait for this place.

We ordered the Spring Rolls, Shrimp Pad Thai, Curry Fried Rice, and Udon Soup with Tofu. We also had Thai Iced Teas (yummy).

No extra sauces or toppings were brought out-which made me skeptical due to the places I’ve been most recently for Thai food, however after love at first bite, I realized that it did not need anything more. The flavor was consistent, presentation was beautiful, and portions were aplenty.

If you’re in Hyde Park and you haven’t tried this restaurant, you’re missing out. Thanks for the reminder of what good Thai food should be.
