I love coming here after band practice! Fort Knox Studios is right down the street! I love the food at Sidekicks and the good atmosphere. The place is very clean and the staff is very nice. They do have a parking lot which is great. The place seems to be pretty lenient, laid back and the prices are good. You could watch the game or do karaoke with your friends!
What would I change? Sometimes the karaoke could be a tad bit too noisy so I would just work on the volume mixing.
Nothing bad, but there are giant television screens that are wired to the lyrics in the main room. I would keep the lyrics running only on the smaller tvs near the stage, and keeping the bar channels on the big ones near the kitchen.
All in all I love Sidekicks! The bar is a yin-yang balance between super chill and electric fun.

Solid karaoke spot! Me and my friends have gone here numerous times with no issues, just the standard ID check and question since we look young. The staff has been friendly to me and I always make sure to tip the DJ who has to hear my horrid singing all night hahahaha. The weekdays have always been a good time to go.

If you want to sing karaoke on a Saturday night go to the double instead, Henry the owner is very kind and the DJ who runs karaoke there on Saturdays is very fun and sweet and chill.
This is not the case at sidekicks. I have come on a weeknight when bones was DJIng and had a pretty good time, but the rest of the staff is always hostile.
Do not expect to sing on a weekend. I waited FOUR HOURS for my song to come up. It seemed like lots of people sang before me who showed up and signed up after me. The white male DJ’s here are very agressive. I wish I got the name of the one who was working tonight, but he isn’t the only one we’ve had issues with. They are racist, they are power tripping. They are constantly coming out of their booth taking microphones away from people singing, trying to control how they sing, I’ve seen them cut off people’s mics (I could maybe understand a situation where this could be warranted but this was not the case here). Several people in my party have had issues with these DJ’s trying to stop them from singing. It’s not that serious. We are all here to sing Karaoke. We’ve waited our turn, your job is to play the songs in the queue, and keep the vibe up!!! The dj really brings everyone down and is ruining the energy in the space. I don’t often leave reviews like this but I like this bar I think the decorations are cool, my friends love the food, and it’s awesome that it’s open late, but this is the 5th time I’ve had problems with these DJ’s, I won’t be coming back anymore.
The bar staff is also very rude. The bouncers are hostile. There are cameras everywhere filming you. The overall vibe is very militant. Not really what you’re looking for in a fun karaoke night, or celebrating a birthday.
Additionally, the bar feels pretty unsafe. Very dark parking lot. It feels like the type of place where your drink would get spiked and no one working would care to help you or do anything about it.
I keep giving this bar chances because i love to sing with my friends and we like the layout, but there are so many other better places to go.

Would give it a zero if I could, will continue these with how bad tonight was fumbled by staff sitting at the bar
Owner wants to act like a hot shot without knowing what she’s doing, real respectful establishment she’s running!

Been wanting to visit this place for the longest time. The potential is amazing. The location, cash only, the sort of people the go there. All very good. But the staff has got to be the worst one I ever had to deal with. At least the two ladies I’ve interacted with, the bar tender and the DJ. They seemed bothered by everything and everyone at everyone. Like, straight up rude. Such a chame!

I used to really like this place but had an extremely unfortunate experience this past Friday. I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my engagement; did not expect to be treated so poorly by one of the bartenders. My friend (who is Black) was purposely skipped over multiple times by the same bartender. There was a group of us who witnessed it and even some people who weren’t with our party. She waited a half an hour to be served by this man. He served the people to her right and the people to her left MULTIPLE times and they came to the bar after her. It felt racially motivated and I will never be coming back to this establishment.
It was a comical karaoke all night.
