We booked for Valentine’s Day last minute since most restaurants were fully booked on OpenTable. The restaurant wasn’t packed, and we arrived a few minutes early, but it took about 5 minutes to find a table at the host stand, and we were placed by the door, right near host stand even though better tables were open.
After being seated, it took 15 minutes before we were greeted by a waitress. The staff then decided to move us to another table, saying the first server was busy. Once relocated, it took another 5 minutes before we could place our order.
They were offering a prix fixe menu for $95 (starter, entrée, and dessert). I came specifically for the steak, which was excellent – especially the Wagyu, easily the highlight of the night. However, choosing the Wagyu added another $85, which meant we were paying $180 for Prix Fixe for what was essentially bread, dessert, and steak. Considering the à la carte price for Wagyu was $125, the prix fixe felt like poor value.
We also ordered Brussels sprouts, which never arrived even by the end of our second course, so we canceled that item. Our server mentioned she was new, which I appreciated, and she did her best under the circumstances, but the overall service was slow and disorganized.
On top of that, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. We normally tip generously, but this experience really didn’t justify a guaranteed 20%. It almost felt like the staff knew service quality wouldn’t affect their tip.
Overall our bill was $252 - bread, steak, raspberry cheesecake as dessert and 1 cocktail.
Great Wagyu steak is I highly recommend, but the service, value, and organization fell short. If you go, I suggest adjusting expectations for the overall experience.

Was not fan of the service and the overall experience. Their steak is on point! So only recommend for their Wagyu.
My waitress wasn't attentive to our order. Server gave our food away to another guest. They had a discussion in front of us but never explained it to us. Waited 30 additional minutes to receive the wrong order.
Very loud! It was difficult to hear any of the conversation at our table. Seemed to be a date night kind of place. Food was OK but not great, the cocktails made up for it though. Service was prompt. Not really a place for a family dinner.

Went for Restaurant Week, early reservation 6pm, restaurant was somewhat busy but service was good. As the evening went on, it really filled up and the staff and kitchen seemed overwhelmed. Service slowed down and they ran out of some menu items. On the bright side, decor was beautiful and my petit filet was amazing! We will give it another try after Restaurant Week!
I was so excited travel back home to Chicago to celebrate my birthday here today for the After Hours R&B, but unfortunately had to cancel because they would not let me edit the reservation to match what Open Table says. They tried to nickel & dime me. I never write bad reviews, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. I had a wonderful time at Staley happy hour a few weeks ago. Hopefully the two restaurants can provide matching customer service going forward.

We went for restaurant week and everything was amazing. We will most definitely return, especially for that filet mignon and New York strip. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection.
While closing my tab at the restaurant, there was a brief travel-related authorization issue. Before I was given the chance to re-authorize, the bartender publicly announced the situation to another patron, and I also observed them being openly rude to other customers.
As a young professional traveling and excited to support a Black-owned business, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and left immediately. Management needs to address this behavior.

Unfortunately, we ordered the lobster and shrimp roll with fries for $25. I was very disappointed! It was VERY VERY tiny and tasted like plain mayo. Not a shrimp or lobster insight! The fries were crunchy/hard. The She-crab soup lacked flavor, was mostly bisque, very little to no crab, and cold. The margarita was not worth $16.

Great food and good value. Service was really friendly however not well timed. Bit slow on drinks, only 4 at table but drinks and food not delivered together.
Visited Signature Steak for happy hour on Jan 30 after hearing all the hype. The $7 deals sound great on paper...the execution, not so much.
The “truffle fries” were just basic fries with a truffle-ish sauce. The sirloin croquettes were dry with an almost rock-hard exterior. The tuna on crispy rice was just okay. The Rockefeller oysters were the best bite of the night, and even those were small, dry, and a bit overcooked.
Happy hour drinks were basically half drinks, which definitely takes the shine off the “special.”
The space is small and was very loud during our visit. Our server, KJ, spent more time questioning who seated us than actually serving us, which added unnecessary awkwardness to an already mid experience.
Overall: not terrible, but definitely not worth the hype. I paid for this myself, so this review is, too.

We were seated by the fireplace on a cold winter evening. Very nice atmosphere. Attentive and professional staff. Our server, Martha was great! Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. A wonderful experience all around. Happy New Year
The food was excellent and our server, Maurice, was exceptional. We especially loved the calamari appetizer. Next time we are in Chicago, we'll be back, no doubt about it!
