I love this place. They do such a stellar job with the food. The staff is very friendly, and I love going in there to eat and introducing people to this neighborhood gem.

I ordered a plate of Basil Stir Fry from Uber Eats. It came in a bowl was half full. It was similar to the portion of an apatiser. I called and asked what happened and they said just complain to Uber Eats. I will never take chance of ordering from them again. Sad, because they use to care.

Lived in the neighborhood for 7 years, finally stopped in. Don’t sleep on this place. Delicious food and drinks.

We went here for my fiance's birthday dinner on a whim while we were visiting Chicago. The staff was super welcoming and polite. We ordered their crab rangoon, paht thai, and kao soi (with the chicken leg quarter) and our plates were clean by the end! The food was incredible. Then when we told the server we were celebrating a birthday, she came back with a dessert that had a birthday candle in it. That was so kind, and the dessert was also delicious. We will definitely come back next time we visit Chicago.

I have eaten at Silom 12 a number of times now, and I'll definitely be going back for more.
I give them high marks for their customer service due to their knowledge of which dishes are gluten-free and which ones can be made gluten-free. My go-to dishes are the green papaya salad (so delicious 😋) and their panang curry with shrimp. Its richly flavored broth is spicy, but not scorching. They can make it hotter for the more adventurous.
The one dish I tried but didn't like was their Basil beef. It was one of those dishes that can be made gluten-free by substituting the soy (or oyster) sauce. It wasn't terrible, but I won't be ordering that again.

Generous portions, absolutely fresh, high quality ingredients, and beautiful presentation. I came for an early dinner and the service was fantastic.

Everything I eat here is wonderful. Great balance of flavor in the dishes and portions are exactly the right size. I appreciate that when you order a dish with meat that there is an actual appreciable amount of meat in it. Just had the seafood drunken noodles and they certainly didn’t skimp on the seafood! They also do a great job getting just the right amount of char/caramelization to add depth of flavor.

The food and service were solid, but nothing really stood out. I ordered a red curry with beef, but they brought me one with chicken. After I mentioned it, they quickly switched it for beef, but the portion was noticeably smaller—half the size of the chicken dish, with fewer veggies and less protein. The flavors were great, but it was disappointing that when I pointed out the portion issue, they didn’t offer any kind of solution.

Pretty good food and portions for very reasonable prices. Menu is fairly standard but always great to have a reliable place in the neighborhood!

The food was amazing! Met a group of friends here and all ordered something different so we could try everything and nothing was disappointing. We loved all of it. Service was excellent, one server, but he handled all the tables, at the same, very well. Food came out steamy hot and tasted really fresh.
The dinning room is cute, you recognize a few things from IKEA or Crate & Barrell and it reminds you that you are at a locally owned restaurant. It was nice to sit by the window and watch all the cars and people going by.
With so many excellent food choices in Chicago, I was so happy I found this place!

Delicious Thai food with excellent service. We ordered a soup, a salad and a curry between us and it was the perfect amount. We ordered the vegetable Penang curry and loved that it wasn’t just bell peppers as happens sometimes in other places! There was a good variety of vegetables. Our server was very attentive throughout. We also loved the cocktail menu.
This is a wonderful Bucktown option!

Can’t believe we never tried this before. Everything we had was delicious. We both had soups for appetizers then stir fries for entres. Extensive menu. Portions were generous. Decor is very nice, beautiful baskets on display. We will definitely come back soon.
