A must try spot! Great food, coffee and atmosphere! Definitely recommend!
beautiful Mediterranean restaurant serving up delicious food and has a coffee bar too! love the vibes in here and the service is great.
Chicago lacks many options for good Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food. However, I think that Sinya in River North is trying to change all of that. It’s located in part of the old Three Greens Market location at the corner of Hubbard and Kingsbury. First, the food was delicious. I ordered the gyro entree, beef shawarma, kunafa, mint mojito and a charcoal latte. Each of the entrees came with a side salad and hummus. I also got some pita bread. The gyro was tender and delicious. I also liked the beef shawarma. Both are must orders. Both of the entrees are huge and more than a meal each. Second, the service was great. The process is that you order at the counter, you take a seat and they bring the food to you. The staff is friendly and my food came out fast and hot, especially the kunafa as it was the perfect temperature for a nice cheese pool. Third, the ambiance is amazing and the decor is beautiful. The entire restaurant is bright and colorful. The colors worked perfectly to make me feel like I was in actually in the Mediterranean. In sum, this is must visit Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean restaurant.
The food was so fresh and flavorful! I will definitely be back with my friends so they can try! The staff was super friendly and welcoming.
For all you lovers of Mediterranean food- this spot needs to be on your list. I visited the one in the River North area, but they have two locations; the other is in Roscoe village at 3224 N Damen. what I was impressed with the most was how fresh the food was. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has been to a Mediterranean restaurant and had food that tasted processed and like it came from a box out of the grocery store. Not here! Everything I had tasted fresh - from the sauces to the salad dressing to the hummus, the falafel, and even the virgin strawberry Mojito! The hummus was so creamy and the meats were seasoned very well! I tried Knafeh for the first time and it’s definitely a new favorite dessert! Initially I was apprehensive about trying it, but once I did, I was like wow! It uses pastry, strands, a sweet cheese and a sweet syrup. You can even add a scoop of ice cream to it if you’d like! It’s only available at the River North location from 4 PM to 10 PM. Definitely a must try! And that coffee you see is my Apple Pie Latte! Talk about tasty! It’s made with apple butter and cinnamon brown sugar honey. They’re for sure one of my new top favorite Mediterranean restaurants in the Chicago area. Stop by for relaxing cup of coffee and maybe a sweet treat and enjoy! .
Sinya is my new go-to lunch spot in River North! I am always on the hunt for good Mediterranean food in the city and needless to say, everything was perfect. We ordered the Veggie Combo platter to try a bit of everything as well as the mixed shawarma plate and everything was fresh, tasty, and served alongside warm Pita! My husband got a Baklava Latte while we were there and he talked about it for days! The atmosphere and service were impeccable as well which made the whole experience amazing!
Amazing absolutely amazing falafel wrap sandwich! The best I have ever had anywhere. Fresh tabouli and grape leaves also. Delivery was very friendly and on time!

Now, let’s talk about the food—specifically the spicy chicken shawarma….It is absolutely delicious, and the best shawarma you will have ??. Also gotta try the hummus with warm pita?? it’s just a must!!!
The staff is also very friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming vibe of the place. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!

The kebab and gyros were so dry that they were probably made the day before. Hopefully it was just one day. Please find another Mediterranean restaurant.

The food is really good and fresh. They have good portions and you don’t feel sluggish after eating like some other places. This will be a go to staple.
