At the end of an awful week, this place was a soothing balm. My “Eff Around” Old-Fashioned was wonderful and just what I needed; my server was personable, prompt, and funny; the outdoor seating was perfect on a gorgeous summer afternoon; and the mozzarella sticks were a cheese-lovers delight.
We didn't have food there. We went for the bourbon experience, and it was fun. John and Taylor have excellent bourbon knowledge, and their stories are hilarious. I would recommend the experience.
I ordered the mushroom shawarma. It lacked seasoning and tasted nothing like shawarma. It was bland, had no flavor and was a bit gritty. My friend had the tomato soup and said there was a prevalent olive flavor. She doesn't like olives, so she didn't enjoy it. The potato chips were good, but I don't think it was made in-house. I've been to Slightly Toasted a few times and this is the first time the food was meh. The service was good.
