Been a while since I've been to that location. Love the setting and the enclosed patio.

The burgers here are amazing! It’s like the grill is seasoned so the burgers come out consistent and tasty everytime! They are the best! I even think they may be better that Au Cheval but that’s just my opinion! Highly recommend!

I see that mgmt put in a 3.5% service charge. I didn’t tip your server since you decided to put this fee in.

Burger was not seasoned properly. Tomatoes were mushy and gross. Bread wet and the flavor was bland. Worst burger I have ever had! I’m so disappointed because the reviews on the burgers were good.

I had the signature double cheeseburger and I am not sure where all the 5* reviews come from? The bun was burned a little bit, which didn’t help the taste and the meat wasn’t special. But the staff was nice and the location clean. Sorry for the bad review.

The chicken tenders are all gluten-free. I love that! Sorry gluten-tolerant friends. I love not feeling like the weird one out for being gluten intolerant. GF inclusive and five stars for all the gluten free tenders all the time!!! (I don’t have celiacs disease so I don’t have to worry about cross-contamination. I would ask them if you are).

The chicken tenders are crispy, tender, and juicy. I’m a big fan of the flavor in the breading - it’s subtly sweet but still satisfyingly savory - a culinary paradox. It’s salty and delightfully flaky, without being greasy.

The staff are helpful and friendly. I once accidentally ordered my burger wrong and asked if they could re-do it and they were so patient and gracious about it - they really earned my praise on that one.

I love the hygge vibe with all the lights, homey color-scheme, and fun music. The fries are consistently crispy because of their strategically open to-go bags, too.

Fries aren’t as good as they used to be now that they’re thick and the burgers somehow have less flavor, not sure if meat blend changed or what happened…glad they covered part of the patio though to give people a place to sit!

I ordered the double cheeseburger and fries. I’m honestly disappointed for the price point. I love a medium burger, but it had an overly charred, gamey taste to it. It was borderline inedible. The fries were “ok”. Nothing to rave about. I just expected a more flavorful burger.

I love this place! In the winter it is take out as they only have outdoor seating. I am celiac and it’s hard to find a place that offers fried gluten free chicken. I used to get the fried chicken sandwich but they removed it from the menu. My heart is broken over it. I still get the chicken fingers & fantastic fries with the garlic aioli sauce. Yummy! I drive a long way to get this food and it really is worth it!!

It is almost impressive how much Small Cheval has slid in quality compared to just a few years ago, especially with such a simple menu. The last 2 times I have gone, the beef patties have been way smaller, they only take up about 2/3 of the bun at most. The quality of the beef has also taken a nosedive. It tastes like some sort of Sysco generic school lunch burger. Overall the flavor recently has been bland and generic. I will now be going literally anywhere else to get a burger, I have no idea how Small Cheval is staying as popular as it is.
