We got a burger to take to the game. We were really looking forward to it but it was not good lol. Small and hard patty, not much flavour. Maybe it’s better if you eat it fresh? 😔 not sure, major disappointment.

Small Cheval...I was really impressed. The quality of the food and service is on par with Au Cheval in the West Loop, but the experience is completely different. We were in and out in under 20 minutes.
Small Cheval is NOT a substitute for Au Cheval even tho my burger was on point! it's a much different experience from the one at Au Cheval. At Au Cheval the precision that's put into constructing every burger is straight food science to a different level.
Also, the way they dress their burgers is kinda different. Small Cheval is definitely the perfect place if you're looking for a delicious burger and fries, but don't have 2-3 hours to wait in line. 100% recommend!

Terrible, ordered to go. We got three sandwiches 20 bucks a piece after fees and everyone’s burger was so dry. The patties were burnt and so thin. The burgers didn’t even have all the condiments they were supposed to have on them, just drop of sauce in the very middle. $74 for 3 sandwiches and 2 fries, never again.

Stopped by Small Cheval for lunch, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Mark, the cashier, was super friendly and helped me pick out the perfect order. I got a signature cheeseburger, fries, and a vanilla shake — simple, but absolutely delicious. The burger was tasty, juicy, and very well seasoned, the fries were crispy, and the shake was thick and creamy.
Quick service, great vibes, and awesome food. Thanks to Mark and the team — I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The food was ok and considering I waited years to try it, I’m pretty disillusioned 😕 it was extremely salty and kinda mid. $25 is very expensive for an ok burger with fries.
If I went a few blocks down on armitage and spent that much I’d have a bag of fresh smash burgers and hand cut fries. Staff was nice and so is the patio. Presentation was excellent. Taste left something to be desired.

Great burgers. No questions asked when we let them know they missed delivering a fourth burger. They gave the fourth burger in a matter of seconds.
Love being able to order online and have it ready for pickup within 15 minutes!

The only negative is the space is a little small, everything else is absolutely amazing - love their desert options!
