I went to Old town location and the burger was sub par. I was so exited to get a burger there as the main restaurant is so busy. I would not recommend! Overpriced and only a 5 rating.

Always a reliably good burger. And, love that it can be prepared and served gluten-free.

I ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, lemonade, and ice cream and WOW. Everything was just delicious!! I was seriously delighted by this meal. I will be coming back again. The food and customer service was great! I ended up coming back the same day for another ice cream cone. It was THAT good!

Went to the Gluten Free Crawl this weekend and was glutened. Specifically requested a gluten free burger and was given a regular burger. One of the group noticed the bun and I returned it only to eat the replacement burger that was glutened. The group coordinator spoke to the manager and advised the restaurant ahead of time that the group was gluten free and this restaurant failed miserably. I would avoid this place if you have food allergies and if you want to avoid getting sick!! Horrible experience and terrible service. Deserves ZERO stars!

Trendy, clean and fashionable, the new outdoor garden is lovely. Very little seating indoors. Burger is adequate, no options for toppings; it's dijon mayo and pickle. A milkshake is too thick if you can't drink it with a straw.

It’s the best mediocre meal during a kids baseball game at Welles Park. Why does fast food take 25 mins for a burger? Homeless people like to make the new patio their bathroom overnight.

Side note: $4.49 for a Mexican coke in this neighborhood is obscene. Why are you trying to take advantage of people in the neighborhood? These are $2.00 at best when served ice cold which doesn’t seem to be understood by the teenagers managing this location.

Delicious! A nice treat for my out of town friend who was visiting and who loves the Au Cheval in West Loop, but we didn’t want to trouble of going into the city, and it was a great option! Delicious burger, golden crunchy fries and the garlic aioli is a must on every bite. Order the lemonade too! It’s ice cold, sweet and delicious.

The only seating currently is like 10 counter seats at the front. The veggie burger was dry, bland and overcooked. Veggie burger, fries, can of coke and tip was somehow $28 and we didn’t even eat there because it seemed like the a/c wasn’t working so we sat in the grass in the park across the street. I will not be back.

THIS small cheval is doing nothing for their name. I am a small cheval fan (the first two locations) . I gave it two opportunities being closer to home and very excited about it being here. You make 3 items. A burger, a chicken sandwich, and fries. If you can’t get it right you’re doing something wrong. Service is meh. There’s hardly any seating in this large space they acquired. But that doesn’t even matter if you’re small cheval. First try at this location… something’s not right, this doesn’t taste like the small cheval burger I know, definitely lacking in consistency compared to originals. Okay a month later, if I’m paying $27 for a burger and fries it should be GREAT and you better get it right. Nope. No bacon (paid for). And dry. And not like the other locations at all. Very unfortunate for Lincoln Square.
