Delicious! A nice treat for my out of town friend who was visiting and who loves the Au Cheval in West Loop, but we didn’t want to trouble of going into the city, and it was a great option! Delicious burger, golden crunchy fries and the garlic aioli is a must on every bite. Order the lemonade too! It’s ice cold, sweet and delicious.

The only seating currently is like 10 counter seats at the front. The veggie burger was dry, bland and overcooked. Veggie burger, fries, can of coke and tip was somehow $28 and we didn’t even eat there because it seemed like the a/c wasn’t working so we sat in the grass in the park across the street. I will not be back.

THIS small cheval is doing nothing for their name. I am a small cheval fan (the first two locations) . I gave it two opportunities being closer to home and very excited about it being here. You make 3 items. A burger, a chicken sandwich, and fries. If you can’t get it right you’re doing something wrong. Service is meh. There’s hardly any seating in this large space they acquired. But that doesn’t even matter if you’re small cheval. First try at this location… something’s not right, this doesn’t taste like the small cheval burger I know, definitely lacking in consistency compared to originals. Okay a month later, if I’m paying $27 for a burger and fries it should be GREAT and you better get it right. Nope. No bacon (paid for). And dry. And not like the other locations at all. Very unfortunate for Lincoln Square.

Burger was charred, dry, nearly flavorless, grossly overpriced. No interest in going again.

My favorite go to burger! I love ordering the single cheeseburger and fries. The fries are always crispy and hot and the burger is cooked perfectly. I also tried their vanilla ice cream cone and can’t wait to go back and try their other ice cream options.

REAL TALK - BEST BURGER IN THE CITY. hands down. And the fries (well done) are just as good. Not going to find a better combo in the city.

The only drawback...and it's not little...are the wildly high prices for everything. Everything costs more than you'd expect and as angry as the price makes me... It tastes really good.

Burger seemed too salty. Had a cheeseburger, fries, and a coke and didn’t think it was worth the price charged. Fries were good.

I love Small Cheval! Decided to take a walk and try this location. It’s in a nice spot by a park, and of course has the classic options on the menu. It’s honestly a bit saltier than the other locations but that makes it fun that it’s slightly different. It’s quite small so there really isn’t a lot of seating but it’s great for to-go!

Delicious burger, but the fries were very average in size and quality and nearly $5. (Definitely get the garlic aoli, though!) There's hardly anywhere to sit, maybe like 10-12 bar stools in 2 rows inside in 2 rows, nothing outside. The place is expensive - the cheeseburger, fries, and root beer came to $22.50. They snuck in a 3.25% service charge which isn't anywhere on the menu, and I really hate when places do this since it means that they don't want to reveal the real price on their menu (and I'm giving 1 star lower because of it). So go if you want to try the burger, but I went once and don't feel like I need to go back.

Lukewarm food and a 30-40 minute wait. Worst experience at a Small Cheval. Other locations are great but this one was a complete miss.

The burger was amazing! Got the shake of the month and I wanted everyday for the rest of the month. Staff were super friendly. You could really tell they enjoyed being there. Will definitely be back!
