Smoke Daddy BBQ - Wicker Park

Oh baby, this spot is worth every mile of the trip. From the moment the food hit the table, it was clear we were in for something special. The meat was incredibly tender — cooked perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor in every bite. You can tell they put real care into what they serve.

And the wings? Next level. Crispy on the outside, packed with flavor, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Whether you’re a wing lover or just curious, these alone make the visit worth it.

The portions were solid, the food came out hot, and everything tasted fresh. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on flavor and quality, this is it.

This is not a Barbecue place. This is a sports bar. You can tell by the smell, nothing is getting barbecued or smoked there. Overall I was disappointed. Service was lackluster. Server didn’t know where the staff pick beer option was from. I ordered the onion rings, the Mac and cheese ,meat sampler, and cornbread. Meats were overall bland and sauces were mid. Of all things the brisket was the most disappointing. Fat wasn’t buttery meat wasn’t smokey, and there was barely a bark. Ribs were mid. Pulled pork was dry and bland. You couldn’t convince me that was handmade sausage. That was the worst Mac and cheese I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Beans were weak. Cornbread and chicken were okay. I did like the coleslaw…

Bottomless breakfast was extremely mid. Went to watch football at noon on Sunday and they struggled to turn on a single game.

Food arrived in poor quality. I was given 2 bbq sauce cups and one spilled in the bag. Food was given to me cold. I ordered turkey and brisket. Brisket had a lot of fat and hardly any meat. Turkey did not looked smoked.

This was the best barbecue I've had in a long long time. I wish I could remember what they called the tray of food that we got. I think it was the daddy plate or the daddy size something like that. But anyways, definitely worth it. Three of us ate from it and we still had to take some home. Highly recommend smoke Daddy here and in wrigleyville, they somehow find the best people to work at their places.

Great location, sat inside the garden area. It's closed off and warm in the winter. BBQ was very good, many sauces to choose from. Great beer selection.

I cannot find a single good thing to say about this restaurant. Everything was so extremely disappointing that I question the legitimacy of all the positive reviews. BBQ and seeing the seemingly delicious photos and positive reviews, From food quality, portion size, to value, everything was terrible.

I came here for a Sunday evening drink. For a bar in wicker park it is so clean and has a very warm environment.
All of the employees are kind and genuinely engaging.

Evan the bartender let me hang out working on emails.
Geno was seated not too far and chatted with me a bit, turned out to be the cook for both locations!
Kelsey was the manager and was so bubbly and sweet. I complimented the location, I told her it smelt good and was so clean for a bar/restaurant.

I only had the cornbread but it was so delicious I got two servings.

Happy I stumbled upon it!

I liked almost everything we ordered. Even the fries were so good. The only item I didn’t like was the mac and cheese. It was watery and lacked flavor.

We had a larger group for dinner tonight. Ruben was our bartender and server. He was amazing! Very fast, knowledgeable and very personable! The food is great too! Order the giant platter with everything on it. Get some extra cornbread. It's all delicious! Highly recommended!

The service was excellent and so too the ambience. The baby back ribs were dry and the meat didn't quite fall off the bone. The sides were tiny. Slightly disappointed but would probably be a great venue when the live music is on!

Came in for lunch. I had the pulled pork my wife had their take on the Ruben . We each had a Mexican lager and the kids had kid stuff. Imagine the place is awesome during a game. Also the server was chill made us very comfortable and kept it that way
