Smoke Daddy BBQ - Wicker Park

Pretty mediocre experience, left disappointed. Restaurant week menu has 3 courses for $35, which seemed like a great deal. But the portions turned out to be comically small. Imagine getting an order of chicken wings and receiving 2 (two) chicken wings. The deviled eggs were 2 halves of an egg. It was honestly laughable.

And then our server spilled half a cup of water on my sandwich, says "my bad" and walks away. No attempt to make it right, just left me with a soggy sandwich. With so many great restaurants in the area, I don't see a reason to come back.

Food quality was good. We ordered delivery. No sides come with expensive proteins. We ordered an onion ring side and got 2.5 rings (quite literally). We called the restaurant and they confirmed that it’s a normal side. A full onion is 79 cents…

Great music and service!

The blond haired waitress never came back to our table after taking the order. The bartender brought the food, and we walked to the bar to get refills on drinks. The food was terrible. Everything was flavorless, like not even a dash of flavor. The smokey BBQ saved the meat a little. Mac & cheese was not right. The bartender guy was nice & made the experience tolerable. He is the only reason I left half a tip, I hope HE got it. I was disappointed. The food tastes like it looks in the photo... bland & flavorless.

I expect more appetizing presentations for the pricing. The picture looks like I collected a leftover sandwich and a scoop of slaw from the cafeteria. Not $18 worthy.

very little meat in the BBQ mac daddy. so sad. why be a meat skimper as a BBQ restaurant! 😭

and portion was small for how expensive it was. i’m but a small lass and i ate the whole thing. i usually get 2 meals out of a take away.

it did taste pretty good. the mac and cheese had perfect cheese to goo ratio 👌

I ordered a side of Onion rings for pickup and I received 3 regular sized onion rings for 6 dollars...

The worst BBQ experience i have had. I received 3 dry slices of brisket and the pulled pork was almost entirely a slab of fat (see photo). And, the $6 piece of corn bread was laughable!
I actually ordered from Earl's after receiving this to have a better BBQ meal!

Absolutely Horrible! Brisket and Burnt Ends and not a single piece of bread to enjoy it on... for this price? My wife warned me about our last bad experience here... it will NEVER happen again! GARAGE! Just an average bar with food!

Came for brunch. Good deal for the family style stuff for only 25$. The issue is the family style is bottomless and when my homie asked for more sausage and bacon they come back with one little piece of sausage and a slice of bacon and there were 5 of us at the table. Excuse my French but what the frick? Thats just disrespectful to only give us that little food when we ask for more. Also we’re going to talk to the waitress that this wasn’t enough and we wanted more but we didn’t see this girl for 20 mins. So we were annoyed and ready to leave as soon as we saw her again. Also my other homie wanted to give the brisket a 3rd chance to be impressed and he was’t. Im not mad just disappointed

Pretty good brisket and pulled pork. The beans are very good, but I wasn't a fan of the cornbread. Decent draft beer selection too. I'd probably go again
