Best Puerto Rican food truck in Chicago. I've had the alcapurrias, pastelillos, pasteles, mini jibarito, rice with gandules and lechon. The food is always fresh, hot and flavorful. The owner is so very nice. The only negative thing is I live far SW so I can only enjoy Snix Snacks when I visit my Daughter. My Daughter and her husband enjoy the food often.

Just down right delicious and fresh Puerto Rican food. Everything here is good and made fresh to order. Best food truck around for Puerto Rican food plus I don't have to drive all the way to Humble Park.
I was told this place was amazing for years…so I finally came to try it out. My order was rice, mini jibaritos, tostones, alcapurria de yuca, relleno de papa , a pincho and a pastelillo… I googled first to see the pricing, and said okay it’s reasonable. I get there, none of the pricing is accurate from google. Then I wait about 25/30 minutes for the food because it is made to order which I’m okay with… I order my food and she doesn’t tell me a total…I then realize I am waiting longer because she messed up my order with someone else’s. I hear the total come out to about $52 something..i was shocked to see the total for a mini jibarito that was smaller than my palm…my yuca alcapurria was burnt til the middle. The relleno barely had meat inside of it and tasted off. Rice was made with no flavor. The pastelillo was the only item that was over loaded with flavor…a little too much that it was overwhelming. Oddly enough, I check my bank statement and my total went from 50 something up to 62 dollars… I wasn’t going to make a review about the food and just leave it considering the lady who works there is sweet but I was pushed to the edge to see the total not add up correctly.

This is hands down the best Puerto Rican food I’ve had in the city, and I’ve had a lot! Food is made fresh to order so there’s def a bit of a wait but it is worth it, every little bite. The food here puts my entire family to shame, I’m going to be at thanksgiving dinner wishing I was here instead (sorry mom)! Pork, delicious. Arroz con gandules, best rice I’ve had and now I’m trying to revamp my own recipe. Tostones, nice and crispy with a side of mayo ketchup. Pinchos served with a nub of garlicy bread and bbq sauce. My mom visited from out of state and she said the sorullos here reminded her of my late great grandmother’s back in the island. Just an absolute treat - be careful and don’t get carried away like I did the first time and spend a whole paycheck!
