I enjoyed both the Pad See Ew and Orange Chicken here at So Bowl. The Pad See Ew had perfectly cooked wide rice noodles with a balanced blend of savory and sweet flavors, while the Orange Chicken was tender and coated in a tangy orange glaze. The dishes showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and skillful flavor combinations. The attentive staff and cozy ambiance added to the overall dining experience. So Bowl is a fantastic choice for delicious Thai cuisine that leaves a lasting impression. All dishes I have ever ordered are excellent, plus the owner of the restaurant is very friendly and service is great!

We usually order out, but decided to eat lunch at this restaurant last week. The place is spotless, nice ambiance and great service. The owner was very helpful with deciding on spice level and even put a little honey in my tea because I said I was getting over a cold! I have chicken curry with peanut sauce and broccoli and my husband had drunken noodles. Both were excellent as were the eggs rolls. I look forward to returning often!!

My family, friends, and me have been coming here for about 2 years! We come here for our birthdays, celebrations, and just to find comfort, good food, and a sense of home.Armstrong is such a kind person and is always asking about our lives, and has such an intentional way of owning this restaurant. The food in itself is always so tasty and flavorful. I always recommend this place to my friends and family, as well as my clients for my job!Me and my two roommates come here when we’re happy or sad and we always leave better than how we came - Armstrong has become a dear friend to us and I can’t wait to continue our memories here!

So...So Bowl is right across the street from the Leaning Tower on Touhy. Park in front of the restaurant (not in Papa Chris lot). The restaurant is small, with about 8 tables. When I arrived, there was a couple of men at a table by the window. They were having a normal volume conversation, and maybe it was because the restaurant is small, but I heard...every...word. TBH it wasn't too interesting (sounded like a networking interview) but every so often I heard one of the men say he was interested in a "sociopath" position. That's not what he actually said, but I wasn't fully paying attention so that's what I heard. I had Crab Rangoon, which was pretty standard, although there were sharp pointy sections that were overly browned and crispy without filling. I ordered Tom Kha soup with shrimp. It was more hot (in temp and spice) than sour, although a generously sized bowl and the shrimp were not shrimpy sized but large. I was a little worried that the red tint of the soup meant it would be too spicy, but it was fine. The Thai iced coffee was fine, a very generous portion. The iced rose milk tea as well as the iced green milk tea looked refreshing but they told me it was dairy and didn't offer other milk options do I stayed with the Thai coffee. I would come back to try some other Thai dishes, maybe the curry. Backing out blind into two lanes of traffic made me very anxious.

Excellent Thai food, very friendly service. Nice little place of the side of the road, feels like a family run place, the vibe was informal and personable. I got the Massaman curry, it has a pleasant smokiness and more complex flavors than I'm used to, it was a very pleasant surprise. My partner got the Green Curry and said "it's the best green curry I've had since Boston", which was a few years ago, we're new to the area and have been jonesing for a Thai place that hits both of our preferences, this is it! The spice level scale isn't "American spicy", but it isn't the spiciest scale at a Thai restaurant I've ever seen. I got a 3/5 spice level, being a coconut milk curry it was a delightful whole mouth spicy, it was delicious and cleared my sinuses slowed me down a little bit I still stuffed myself.

We found this wonderful gem on yelp and me and my boyfriend are glad we tried this place! The food was delicious we ordered the chicken sa tay, chicken Tom yum soup, pad see ew and papaya salad and to go with that thai iced tea and let me tell you the food was delicious! If I could I would give them 10! Inside is very clean and cozy I love little restaurant that small and cozy feels so nice and comfortable! I was also glad to meet the owner Armstrong! He's so kind and nice and very welcoming. This is his restaurant and I think he's doing a very wonderful job. I would definitely be back to eat here again!

Service is friendly and fast, the dining room cozy and clean, the food was great and the flavors spot on! The food was smelled so good as it was brought to our table that I forgot to take pictures right away. Hahaha Will come back and try the other items on the menu.

Got a couple of takeout Thai curries (panang and green). Both were very good, the best I've had in the area.

Really great place and amazing experience! The service is maybe the best service I ever had in a Thai restaurant.Important to note that you should park in front of the restaurant and not on the neighboring plaza since the owner of the neighboring restaurant is an antisocial person and would tow your car if they realize you’re going to the Thai restaurant.Vegetarian options: Tofu is an option of protein in the majority of dishes. Also you can get extra tofu for a charge, pumping up the protein.Dietary restrictions: They have many tofu options that are suitable for vegan and vegetarian people.
