Do not eat here. We were so looking forward to enjoying a delicious soul food meal and left disappointed. We had a reservation at 2 pm, and we were promptly seated. There were only 2 other tables seated besides ours. There were several employees walking around doing who knows what. Chatting with each other, hanging at the bar area. It took at least 10 minutes before someone came by our table to get our drink order. The server did not introduce themselves or make us feel welcome. Simply asked what we wanted to drink and left. It took another 10 minutes to get my husband's sweet tea, which tasted exactly like the powdered Lipton Brisk Tea. 🤔We ordered the fried chicken and fried catfish. The catfish was dry and tasteless. I only ate one filet. The fried chicken was just OK. Green beans were oversalted, so much so, it was inedible. The cream corn was decent, but nothing noteworthy. The greens were ok, and the mac n cheese was nothing memorable. Overall, everything was below mediocre. It seemed that the staff was indifferent to the patrons dining. We had to wait forever to get the attention of our server, which was ridiculous given there were only 3 tables seated. Our server seemed much more interested in chatting with the bartender. She finally did come by to deliver our check. I attempted to chat with her and learned that she is the owner's sister. I would not come back here. In Chicago, there are many better options for a fantastic meal. This was a disappointment.

Everything about our experience was incredible. The food was DIVINE…honestly some of the best fried chicken and greens I’ve ever had. And the creamed corn was amazing!
The service was exceptional and our server was very friendly. The food was served quickly, and the atmosphere and vibes were upscale but in a welcoming way.
We will definitely be eating here again, because everything on the menu looked delicious!

Bri seem overwhelmed with tables, not very attentive.. My daughter meal the pasta came out cold.. The atmosphere was good, music was a little loud, makes it hard to communicate with service.. Wouldn't be my first choice for a dinner date.. They need to get some pointers from Provare restaurant up north on Chicago ave..

The food was delicious, but the entrée portion sizes are somewhat small. Great service and beautiful place. I had the surf and turf pasta with mac and cheese and dirty rice. My only complaint was the 2 tiny lamb chops. Besides that, I really enjoyed myself.

Came from Georgia, was looking forward to trying this place. Highly disappointed I had such high hopes The soulè punch was 10/10. Fried fish 7/10 cream corn 7/10 jerk wings 7/10 greens 1/10 macncheese 1/10. Rasta pasta fried salmon 0/10 unedible had to be sent back because it very salty. The environment was what you expect based on the outside , before entering trash littered the ground like snow. Make some time to pick up all of the trash outside your establishment cause it makes a difference. There was only 1 server working and may God bless her she seemed to be the only one doing anything .

Just okay. For the cost, the food was underwhelming. The flavors were good, but our food was not hot and you could tell it was not made fresh. Guessing the kitchen is buffet style and then warmed prior to serving which is not what you expect when you are spending well over $100 on a meal excluding alcohol. As far as decor it was okay, the tables were too close together I felt like we were sitting with the couple next to us, our candle wasn't lit and we had to ask for it to be, our plates were cracked as well as my water glass and after it leaked all over the table we had to clean up the spill on our own. Also for a restaurant to request you dress business casual the staff should be doing the same thing. I'm always going to support a black owned business and was really excited to try this place, but sadly this time I was not impressed.
