I've ordered a couple of times and the lobster bisque was good but I have to say just not enough soup for the price. Checked the reviews and the owner has a tongue-in-cheek copy pasted response for negative reviews, specifically concerning their small portions! I understand covid and small business and all but the price just does not make sense. I've eaten at plenty of "small business" or family owned restaurants post-covid that, while the prices went up, were reasonable and justifiable. No more soup for me (from soupbox anyway)!
14$ for such a small portion and delivered cold. Don’t waste your money
This place is ridiculously expensive for what you get. Paid $11 for a small, thin, bland tomato soup and a basic grilled cheese. Not total - $11 each! The food was ok, but not $11 soup or sandwich good.
Amazing soup! My favorite is the hearty beef stew. Evey single spoon is amazing, packed with rich flavors. I do miss the bread (that was a perfect pair) hope it comes back, but I can't wait every year until soup season to enjoy!
Food was not bad. However, it was very expensive for how little it is. I ordered chicken soup and literally got only 2 pieces of chicken in an already small bowl for that price
Their soup is awesome. I use to work there as a delivery driver. But like to know if their still open.
Best soup hands down, semolina noodles in the chicken noodle soup is a nice touch. They really separate themselves from regular chicken noodle. I went back for seconds after having their large chicken noodle with multigrain fluffy bread. Gotta go back and try everything else, super quick service, make sure you tip, they are really wholesome when giving you your order.
Don’t waste your money. We had walked past this place many times and when we had a taste for soup we thought we would give it a try. We ordered 3 “large” soups for $12, $12 and $14. We figured we would have some leftovers. When the delivery arrived we were very surprised to see these very small containers. We called to make sure we got the right size. The guy seemed like he had answered this question many times before. He wasn’t rude but did quickly hung up on me. We then hoped at least the soup was great. The chicken noodle and minestrone were like you would get out of a can. The lobster bisque was actually pretty good so they do get credit for that. Overall it’s below average soup at a place that specializes in soup at a terrible price. Try somewhere else.
Soupbox on Broadway has been around this 1996. If your restaurant can survive that long on Broadway, you're doing a lot of things right. Make it a point to stop by to say hi to my friends Dru and Jamie and their crew for the best soup around. All homemade with the freshest ingredients, they simply have no equal. Today, I had the Roadhouse Beef Chili and it actually reminded me of my Mother's Chili, yes, it was that good. Love Soupbox !!
Oh, these soups are awful! The Fresh Tomato & Basil 'bisque' was so runny and lacked any real flavour (and certainly was not like any bisque we've ever had) while the Calico Turkey Chili was completely forgettable, like the chili was trying not to offend anyone's senses. It's almost like they were made to be served in a nursing home so heaven forbid they use any spice! We figured it would be nice to get a couple of bowls of soup on a nice cold winter day.... yeah, still a good idea but will never come here again. Gave it two stars as the people in the store were really quite nice.

Huge variety of delicious soups to go! Great service great soups and friendly staff!
Great soups & So comforting!
I highly recommend. Sandwiches were good & soup was superb!
The chicken and wild rice soup is good, but sadly it wasn’t anything that made me go “wow I can’t wait to get this again”. I got a bread bowl delivered on Doordash, a $20 order oof! Bread bowl was good, again nothing extra special about it though. If you absolutely need soup and don’t mind spending the money to support a local business, go for it! Definitely do a pick up over delivery.
I swear on a basket of kittens the potato soup tastes exactly like progresso in a can!I added ham. It was a thimble sized amount of thinly sliced lunch meat. Don't waste your dollar. The $9 grilled cheese was on stale bread. It was nearly all cheddar and not enough to even cover the middle of the sandwich. This was hilariously awful! Not kidding. It was so bad that I was laughing. And I will eat a cheeto I find under the couch! This was so bad.
