Hey the passion fruit and guava margaritas are so excellent! Also the presentation is very beautiful. We had a jibarito, they were able to make vegetarian version, and also guacamole. Both very delicious. This place is simple no fuss and very pleasing. I would recommend it

Hit up South Of The Border on a Friday night. Ordered the Churrasco with chimichurri, rice, and maduros. The steak was perfectly grilled, juicy, and the chimichurri added that zesty kick. Maduros were sweet and caramelized just right. The vibe was lively with Latin beats in the background, and the staff was friendly. Definitely a spot for good food and a fun night out.

Foods inconsistently unseasoned probably because the workers are always drinking….

They put some asian ass white rice in my burrito send these mfs back
Overall a good experience. It might’ve been our fault for coming in so early so will revise review on next visit but took a while to get food and drinks. The food however more than made up for it and the friendliness from the staff was nice.

Restaurantji Recommends
Came through for brunch—got the chilaquiles with steak and a couple margaritas. Food slapped, portions were generous, and the drinks were strong (in a good way). Dropped about $35 total. The vibe was super laid-back and the staff was friendly, but service was a little slow. Not a dealbreaker, just be ready to chill. Solid spot for Latin eats and weekend day drinking in Rogers Park.

I ordered over the phone a Jibarito at 6:05 and was told 20 minutes at 6:30 when I arrived I was told ten more minutes on something that had not even been started. I refused the food and vow not to go to a disorganized place like this with the prices they charge. First impressions are everlasting!
