Was denied re-entry because I did not have “proof” that I did not pay entry to get in. I was with a few friends whom took rotation in paying rounds. The woman security denied my re-entry because I did not have enough to back my claim of having been in previously. When I initially entered, they were not stamping upon entry as they usually do. Before I had walked out to find a friend, I had spent $80+ and after presenting my apple wallet transactions of my purchases, it was still not enough for the door person. Their claim was there was no way to show I had paid cover. I was a previous fan or Splash, however after this, will influence friends to avoid.

I genuinely love this place however we had a really good time with our female friend going out. We tried to get her in however the bouncer did not let her in because she was too drunk. We were all the same level of intoxicated and our one female friend was singled out. This breaks my heart as boystown is welcomed to everyone. I will not tolerate this discrimination. I will not be coming back to my favorite bar/club.

Last night was my first time finally going into Splash and it was also my first bar of the night period. Literally had just walked in and got kicked out immediately for being “too drunk”. I dropped my ID on the floor maybe 3 feet in the door after the bouncer checked it and struggled to pick it up because I have long acrylic nails. He came up to me and told me I had to leave because I was “stumbling around” and struggling. I was meeting a large group of friends who gathered around and immediately tried to explain that I had quite literally just walked in the door and just drove 45 mins, completely sober to meet them here and that the length of my nails makes it hard to pick up flat stuff like coins and cards (iykyk). He doubled down and told us all that he KNOWS I’m drunk and that I had to leave and go somewhere else, so the entire group just walked out with me. The entire situation was unbelievably disappointing considering that I’ve been going to other bars around here frequently for the last few years and have never once had any problems until I came here. We chose Splash to start because every other bar had a line to get in, but there was not a single person waiting to get in here and I’m assuming it was for a reason because I would never go back there after last night.

I love it here. Every time I go here I don’t go in restricted areas and hide my belongings in places customers don’t belong then forget I did that because I spent the night drinking out of other customers unattended drinks then launch an internet campaign to bash a small business because I myself couldn’t even remember where I hid my own stuff the multiple times I was allowed to look.

Absolutely horrible experience. Staff was expremely rude. Many customers that arrived after us were served before we were even aknowledged. Place smelled like mold or an old grease trap. Drinks were way over priced. The final straw was, my friend had a horrible experience trying to retrieve their bag. They were told to get over it, and would not allow them to search for their belongings which is appalling. This is extremely unacxeptable behavior, this is a community where we are supposed to look out for one another. They will never recieve my patronage again. I would prefer many other places in boystown over this anyway. Shame to say since we had previously heard great things.
