Idk what happen to this place the service is straight garbage. Instead of refunding donuts they don’t have they’ll give you a random one and while that would seem like an issue it almost cost me a trip to the hospital due to my severe peanut allergy. They don’t read ticket orders and take all day talking with each other instead of paying attention it’s really sad because I like Stan’s but I’ll rather spend extra at another location then come here honestly.

I rarely leave low-star reviews, but my recent online order experience was incredibly disappointing. I had pre-ordered 18 birthday cake mini donuts, but when I opened the box at home, I found they were all chocolate. I called the store, and they assured me I could come back and exchange them for the correct order right away. However, after driving back, I was told they only had 14 birthday cake minis available and offered me one regular-sized donut to cut into four pieces to make up the difference. That was simply unacceptable—especially for a child’s birthday celebration. If you're unable to fulfill a customer’s order, at the very least, inform them in advance.
I made two trips and still didn’t receive what I ordered. Their idea of compensation? One donut!

Honestly, one of the best venues in Hyde Park for donuts, breakfast sandwiches and solid coffee. The quality of the coffee of starbucks has been terrible ever since their new CEO. Stans in hyde park has become apart of many of my friends and law student friends at u of c staple. Camille and staff are super delightful. Highly recommend you get the keto sandwich as it's my personal favorite.

Not only does the food deliciously satiate my appetite, the baked goods are savory too. I love the Chai latte, it’s just enough caffeine and it is soothing. It takes me to a much needed place of peace before I begin my work day. The staff is the best at this location. Sabrina, Shontae and whole team are extremely thoughtful and make me feel like a guest rather than a customer.

This is my favorite place to grab a snack, everyone who works here is so friendly and the atmosphere is always so welcoming. They play great music and the staff has even remembered my orders! Desmond, Shontae, and all the workers really do make the restaurant feel like a second home.

I come here multiple times a week and have for years now. The baristas are warm and lovely. I adore them. The playlist is groovy. I primarily come here to get work done. I’ve met many a deadline at their tables. I’ve also spent many hours just enjoying the vibe. I run into many of the same people (graduate students, working professionals, people meeting for weekly chess games, etc.). I love it here. Highly recommend.
I love ordering a coffee and a donut to enjoy while I get work done in the mornings. The store atmosphere is wonderful and the staff anticipates what I need before I do! Everyone is terrific but I especially love seeing Sabrina's smiling face the moment I walk in <3

ordered a hazel nut cold brew. it was ok. know Starbuck's but it is what it is, i was with a friend that loves STANS. to each its own. the cashier seemed a little pushy and annoyed that i wasn't moving fast enough from in front of her register. she keep saying you can wait over there while i was putting my money away.

Busy corner and almost always busy. It is likely to wait for quiet sometime for a coffee and a small bite. The staff is overwhelmed and orders may get mixed up. The quick bites are not the best. The coffee is good though.
