The food was excellent and our server was friendly, attentive and helpful. It was a quiet Tuesday lunch hour. The only downside was that the hostess disappeared for extended periods of time resulting in a long wait.
The Walnut Room is the perfect place for lunch or dinner in the Loop! The menu, while not huge, has enough variety to please anyone's taste, including many historic dishes which make the menu unique. There is also a a good selection of nice wines. Prices are reasonable, service is professional and gracious. What especially pleases me about the Walnut Room is that it IS NOT NOISY. Rather, one can have a very pleasant conversation without having to shout.
