Prior to the Covid shut down this location was extremely busy but very well managed and operated smoothly under great pressure. The manager was visible every single day and even though the number of customers made for a delicate situation, it was never an unpleasant experience. After Covid the manger/staff of this location changed and its no longer clear who manages it or if it is managed at all. The crowds are definitely smaller but the staff is not competent enough to handle such crowds. Seems that they have opted to hire immature college students that do not know or wish to know how to speak or interact with people. In my last visit the cashier scoffed at me not tipping for a regular coffee and the time before a different employee told me to "move over there" as I was waiting for a coffee to be poured at the register. This being on a very slow afternoon. I decided not to respond to these individuals to let them know where they went wrong and hope that Starbucks can do that or hire some competent people.

I normally go into this Starbucks and it’s not a pleasant environment to be a customer in. My recent and last visit I was harassed and insulted for wearing a face mask by a Caucasian male employee(Aaron). They’re not welcoming to black and brown customers especially young black and brown men. I would not recommend this location to any person of color to shop at. This place is only friendly and welcoming to white men in suits or non black corporate women who think they’re all mighty and untouchable. If you’re a young black/brown/lighter skinned man they’ll treat you like you’re beneath everyone else I’ve mentioned just because they think they can(I’ve experienced it multiple times and that mask incident was the last straw for me). I’m not even an aggressive personality at that. I carry myself in a calm and polite manner and is still disrespected by ignorant people at this Starbucks and building altogether who assume stupid thoughts of black/brown/lighter skinned people. Especially towards young black men who you can sense are from the inner city.

Don’t listen to the corporate aon center shmucks on this review thread—they just get upset when other people’s coffee gets made before theirs (I’ve seen it).The employees at this Starbucks work harder than God, every day. This store is located at the bottom of the Aon Building, which means every employee and their mother on 70+ floors wants their coffee at 8:45am before their board meeting at 9. Listen maybe one of the accountants in the building can check me here, but there are maybe 6-7 employees behind the counter and I wouldn’t be surprised if you told me they receive 100 orders between 8 and 9.If they are short staffed they are extremely transparent and apologetic and usually look like they are fighting for their lives as a swarm of people in uncomfortable clothes carrying briefcases descends upon them at 8:55 demanding their coffee. And somehow the employees all remain very pleasant and courteous throughout. My only note is that Starbucks Corporate ought to give its morning crew some major compensatory kudos, and equip this store with an order status display so customers who ordered at 8:48 do not expect their drink to come up at 8:49. As in many things, perspective is key.

Went here to get a coffee and the music is so loud I had to repeat myself. After several repeats my order still was incorrect and this place does not allow you to do the your own cream in your coffee. There is no cream or sugar bar and no stirrers to be found. Might I suggest turning the music down and listening to your customers while providing sugar and cream.

Great service and gift items, upto date on the Fall flovors and drinks . Note, a lot of the local cofeee shops do not carry the sesonal flavors, at one they said they do not offer them and said if you want that , you need to go to a Starbucks . which we did .

We came here for coffee after our walk in Grant Park. It was a good place to take a break and we used the wifi.

Though we don't go to Chicago often, the few times we go, we go by train to the Millennium station. If we get into town early or are done with extra time to spare before the train departs, we stop in at this "Starbucks" for a drink. We did notice that this "Starbucks" was remodeled......while it appeared more open, I think that there were less seating.

Busy spot but they took the time to make my order right. I appreciate that. I got the Pennywise Frappucino off the 'secret menu'

Tiny but busy, which, as you'd expect, means long lines to order, long lines for pickup, curt service, and baristas too rushed to actually bother making drinks correctly, handle corrections when they mess up, or clean their equipment often enough to keep the drinks from tasting like burnt ass. There's a Starbucks on every other corner, and in this case, walking the extra block to the next one will be worth it.

I was going to this Starbucks during the last 2 months almost every day and was ordering the same coffee and desert. However just today i recieved the worst service possible and was literary shoked. The girl who attendent didnt took the proper order, made the worst coffee possible and showed me her attitude. Ver, very disappointed with my order ans the service. Hopefully the manager gonna read this review and will take appropriate actions
