I visited this location at UIC around 12:45 PM today and had a disappointing experience. The employee working at that time was impatient and came across as dismissive when taking my order. I asked for a strawberry matcha latte, which I was trying for the first time, and instead of explaining the options clearly, she asked several preparation questions without guidance, as if I should already know how the drink is made. As a customer, I would have appreciated a bit more patience and clarity.
She also did not ask for my name for the order. While waiting, I noticed she interacted with other customers in a noticeably warmer and more patient manner, which made the difference in treatment stand out.
UIC prides itself on being a diverse and inclusive campus, so this experience was especially disappointing. I hope management ensures that all customers are treated with the same level of respect and courtesy.

I never write google reviews but this was the worst service I have ever received. I walked in and was stared at by two ladies; I didn’t even get a hello. I went up to order and they had so much attitude. I tried to customize my order and every time I tried to add something, they would interrupt me. They didn’t even give me time to order my drink. One thing I made clear was to give me a VENTI, but of course they got it wrong and gave me a grande. I thought okay, there’s no point in telling them because they would just give attitude anyway. Maybe it would taste better if I actually got to order what I usually order. I tried it, it tasted sour and tasted like it wasn’t fresh. What was the point, there was no one in line and it was far from closing time. Those ladies need to be fired. Never going back here ever again.

I went to this location and was very disappointed the girl at the counter said that they didn't take cash ! Then had the nerve to try to send me to Subway ! Really ? Never again ! No thank you !
My girl works at UIC so the location is convenient for her, and she gets coffee twice a day, the last few months Dunkin has gotten more and more business because of this locations repeated poor quality. Disappointing to see such a good company allow a location to hurt its brand on a daily basis
I walked in today around 2 PM and wasn’t greeted—just stared at. A girl with a claw clip made my drink, and when I noticed it had no ice, I politely asked if I could get some. She told me I would have to purchase ice… for a drink I already paid for that should come with ice in the first place.
She kept repeating that it was “store policy” to charge for ice. I could understand that if I was asking for extra ice, or if I was already satisfied with my drink, but I wasn’t. I simply wanted the drink made correctly.
Then a guy joined the conversation and also kept repeating “it’s store policy” without offering any real explanation or solution. I still don’t understand how it can be store policy to not fix a drink that was made incorrectly, especially when ice is a standard part of that drink.
Would not give me ice, made me drink some and then poured ice into the cup. It was just a bit extra for Starbucks. Avoid this location it’s not worth the hostility.
Overall, the customer service was unprofessional and dismissive.

I stopped by this location inside Student Center West for a quick bite and coffee. I ordered a dirty chai latte and the Spinach, Feta & Egg White Wrap. The service was friendly and efficient. I requested that they change their gloves and use clean utensils, and the staff were happy to accommodate, which I really appreciated. My only minor issue was that I asked for easy ice in my drink, but it didn’t come out as requested.
Overall, a convenient spot with attentive staff and quick service.

Chaotic and inexperienced staff. Driks take forever so regulars all use mobile and there are just stacks of orders everywhere. Its busy with very poorly managed and trained staff.

I don’t even write Google reviews like that but this has got to be the worst Starbucks I’ve been to. Two times now I’ve had clumps of undissolved matcha powder in my latte. When I brought it to the baristas attention I was told “it’s just on the sides of the cup”. Then today I spilled half the drink on myself when I went to take a sip because the lid wasn’t on properly
