Entered this location at 7am on the way to take my son to school. We have patronized Starbucks and this particular location many many times over the years and I've taken meetings there and met friends etc. On this day the staff told us that because I wouldn't buy something, my 3 year old child could not use the bathroom (it was an emergency).

Maybe more concerning is that when I called their corporate number to complain the representative doubled down on the same policy.

Probably close to a thousand dollars spent at this particular location and several times that amount to Starbucks itself, only to find out that their employees cannot tell the difference between when there is a need to uphold policy for the sake of community versus having human empathy for innocent children and the importance of maintaining relationships between staff and their long term patrons.

I went about 4 times this month ordering the same drink and had a number of issues I ordered a simple matcha latte and on one day I got a half empty cup on another day I got a drink with multiple scoops of matcha so strong it was nauseating full of clumps and completely overpowering any milk or sweetener the amount of caffeine in the drink triggered me to have anxiety all day long because it was triple the amount of the normal matcha powder I tried to attempt to save the drink as I didn’t want to waste it and could not.

This Starbucks in Melrose IL has horrible customer service, no hello ,thank you, or have a nice day at all, no friendliness at all in the dine in area! Shame on this Starbucks!!!!

This is the best Starbucks in the area! They consistently make my orders right any time I am there morning or night. The morning and night crew are welcoming and friendly. The cafe is always clean too.

My drink, and service was good, but the workers were unprofessional. They were joking around with this man, and suddenly BLASTED Disney music into the store. It was so loud, so we left.

This is in reference to store 2949 in the US under the direction of Jaime Rodriguez. I am appalled at the level of customer service at this branch. I added on two cake pops for my kids at the window who changed their mind and wanting something. I was told in a very condescending manner by the young female representative that next time, I need to order at the menu. I proceeded to tell her that I have no problem about the policy but I do have an issue with her condescending tone. The window shut and I saw her and the manager smirking. I honked and told them they forgot my drink. She replied with a snarky comment " that's because I was too busy handling your added food order". I then requested to speak to the manager " Laura" who was ten times worse. I explained to her the situation, she offered NO apology and simply said she will handle it. When the window shut again I saw them glance and giggle so I then asked for the representatives name ( mind you Laura was wearing a name badge) so I assumed they all wear one. Laura then refused to give me her name as I lacked confidence that she would actually DO something about it due to the eye rolling, smirks and glances. Obviously they are friends. I explained to her that I have a right to complain and to have all of the information to do a proper report. I wasn't asking for her social security number and address, just her first name and pointed out her name badge. I asked her what was the policy on divulging names given the situation. She ignored me. I asked for the store manager and corporate info, she only gave me the local branch number with Jaime Rodriguez on the card. When you call, they answer so I knew that wasn't going anywhere. I told her I wasn't going to leave till they rectified this ( I was in the drive through). I honked again because they forgot the reciept and they ignored me. Laura then came outside to pass drinks to the guests behind me. I asked her for a reciept she just proceeded to walk and continue to ignore me. I then had to pull over, leave my kids in the car and go inside to get a receipt. They continued to ignore me and talk to other customers. I told her that this is being videoed and she should be ashamed of herself for handling this so poorly. She handed me the reciept, I asked her when does Jaime get in and she couldn't tell me, she said he may be in the morning. I have never seen such of a lack of professionalism in my life. What a poor role model for the representatives, no wonder why they are speaking to the customers any old way. She could have kept the attitude, snide remarks, eye rolling and lack of follow through with the drink and receipt. I have a right to formally complain and have all the information needed to do so. I had NO FAITH that she was going to actually reprimand the girl because they were in cahoots with each other with their body language, lack of assistance, poor de -escalation skills, lack of apology and the fact that management made matters worse with her poor customer service to seek a resolution. I pay premium price for Starbucks! I expect premium service and a manager who knows how to act like a grown up! Stop hiring these young silly girls who could care less about your brand. They are the face of your brand and they carry on like sassy school girls. There is no accountable for poor customer service anymore! This is why they get away with this! It is a shame that I have to result to corporate and BBB to actually ensure that my feedback is taken seriously as obviously the store at 7112 North Ave Chicago could care less. Take your buisness elsewhere until they decide to hire people who actually care about the customer experience.

This Starbucks used to be so nice before they remodeled it….or destroyed it to be honest. It doesn’t look inviting AT ALL! And the bathrooms now require a passcode to be able to use them! GHETTO! They legit would do that in this area because the ones further north don’t have this inconvenient feature…. They’re blasting rap music or old rap music. No sense of good customer service. I wouldn’t go back to this location…
