The menu is somewhat limited but we decided on the burger and it really good. Definitely have the carrot cake, it was awesome.

Went for lunch before a matinee at Cadillac Palace Theater. First time visiting and it was GREAT! The food was excellent but the staff was FABULOUS! Will definitely return.

Per normal, the Tavern had such a warm ambiance with exceptional service and delicious food! Perfect stop before a matinee theater production!

Great wine list, food selection decent. We both had to send our food back for being undercooked but the situation was handled well Seasoning on apps and main courses was okay, nothing to rave about Service was outstanding

Great service and good food. I found some of the food items like the brussel sprouts and ravioli to be sweeter then anticipated. The cheddar potatoes were really good. I appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. We were never without full water glasses.

The online menu is 100% different from the in person menu. Did not end up eating here due to the lack of consistency and wait time regardless of a reservation.

Very good Food, excellently prepared. Service was Perfect. The pricing is very moderate. We can recommend this Restaurant.

Fun restaurant located in the Wit hotel. There's a little for everyone on the menu and the variety of drink is fantastic. They have local brews along with fancy holiday themed spirits. The staff is very friendly and the vibe is a great tavern style. If you're attending a show in the area, I would highly recommend grabbing a meal/drinks here before or after.

Overpriced food masked by fancy table wares and setting. Food is bland and overly spiced. The pot pie ($34) was “deconstructed”. A pile of chicken and peas with a puff pastry placed on top. The pasta was extremely spicy (not mentioned in description). I would avoid.

First time, reserved for dinner before concert. Ambience and atmosphere were to be expected, intimate and cozy. Wasn't too noisy, enjoyed birthday celebration a few tables over. I ordered the beet salad, butternut ravioli and the lychee loop mule. I truly enjoyed the ravioli and the mule was amazing. My only issue was with the beet salad, more like an arugula salad. My server, Tory was pleasant, attentive and polite. It was a little busy so his acknowledging me, letting me know he would be with me was appreciated. I've had some experiences where I've walked out due to lack of acknowledgement. Overall, my experience was enjoyable and worth the return.

Food... pretty decent! My steak was cooked perfect to order (medium-rare, as if there's any other way to eat a steak lol), juicy, tender, and delicious. The garlic bread fondue was dank. Was thrown a little by the fondue poured over the bread, but it was tasty nonetheless!

Service... meh. My water glass was always full, which I always appreciate and expect at full service restaurants. But I don't think our actual waiter checked in on us once during the course of our meal. And we sat for a considerably lengthy amount of time well after we were finished eating. I had to flag our waiter down so we could get a to-go box and our bill. Anyway, they were really busy and I think our waiter may have been alone or didn't have much help. That may have contributed to the long wait and inattentive service.

Would I return? ...🤔 Yes. Yes, I would. I'm chalking the poor service up to being busy and understaffed. I can look past that. The food was good and there were still several options on the menu I wouldn't mind trying.

The food was outstanding and our waiter was awesome. Took great care of us and our dietary needs. We'll be back.

Not our first visit. Chosen for location to The Chicago Thester and previous visits. This visit was a C+. Food was very good, served within a reasonable time, hot. Oktoberfest menu was what we looked forward to... after we ordered , we were told the appetizer and one of the entrees was not available...after we made other selections, we were further disappointed that the special Oktoberfest dessert we chose was also not available. This all after a cocktail was spilled on one of the diners. Accidents happen. No offer of a complimentary appetizer, a complimentary drink, dessert. Then, our bill was processed improperly - two cards presented for a split. However, one diner's card was charged twice. A disappointing experience.
