It’s great restaurant to go. Atmosphere is great, service is amazing from the moment you enter the restaurant until the moment you leave. The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had.

We had dinner here recently and it was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly and super tender. They serve it on a 500° plate which actually keeps it hot the whole time, which I loved.

The atmosphere is really nice without feeling stuffy, and the service was great — attentive but not hovering. Everything from the drinks to the sides was solid. Definitely worth it for a special night or if you just want a really good steak in Chicago. Would go back for sure.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Our server, Matthew, was a great help. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the flavor was delicious. The sprouts and mashed potato sides were just what we were expecting. The martinis were ample and seemed bottomless. To finish the desserts were well presented and the taste was heavenly. Thanks Steak48 for the unforgettable night out. I will be back.

Absolutely thrilled to share my experience at Steak 48! From the moment I made our reservation, Bianca was nothing short of amazing. She ensured everything was perfect for our business meeting with a group of nine, welcoming us warmly and setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

The service was impeccable. Our servers were attentive without being intrusive, making sure we had everything we needed. The highlight, of course, was the food—each dish was of the highest quality, served on sizzling 500-degree plates that kept our steaks perfectly warm throughout the meal. Every bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and dedication.

And let’s not forget the cocktails! They were crafted to perfection, complementing our meals beautifully. To top off our experience, Bianca even called me after dinner to ensure we enjoyed our time, which truly exemplified the level of care they provide.

If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience that combines fantastic food, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere, Steak 48 is the place to go. Highly recommend!

My wife’s parents introduced us to Steak 48 a a week ago. The service and food were so great that we decided to come back a week later to celebrate our anniversary. Our server Allie was very attentive and thoughtful. Allie made this momentous night even more special. After eating the Japanese A5 Wagyu, I don’t believe I can have steak any other way going forward. This is now my favorite restaurant. My wife and I are looking forward to our next dining experience at Steak 48.

It was my first time here last week and it was quite an experience. The bread was fantastic. Buttery, hot, soft. The menu has something for everybody. The crab legs were wonderful.

The service is fine, but it's almost too much. Asking us if we want different colored linens, giving us three different water options, and hot towels after dinner was all just very cheesy. The waiter puts your side on your plate for you, pours your water for you each time (even though they leave the pitcher on the table)... You can be an expensive, high end restaurant without the corny stuff.

It was my birthday and they were very rude I guess because I came alone just to make my own day special to me and they ruined my birthday dinner. Forced me to pay them a hundred and something dollar tip in order for me to leave, they threatened to lock me up if didn't do so.. so I paid 500 and something just to be treated horrible and my freedom.. 💔

The food was phenomenal, from the perfectly cooked steak to every side we tried, everything was top-tier and worth the hype. What truly made the night unforgettable was our waiter, Andres. His service was exceptional, attentive, knowledgeable, and effortlessly charming. He knew exactly what to recommend and timed everything perfectly without us ever feeling rushed. You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience he gives his tables. Amazing food, amazing service, and an incredible overall experience. We’ll absolutely be back! and asking for Andres again.

Steak 48 made our anniversary unforgettable. A handwritten card greeted us, the staff was exceptional, and a surprise dessert was such a thoughtful touch. Watching the kitchen from our private view was mesmerizing—food arrived sizzling and flawless. Everything was incredibly delicious. Don't sleep on the Caesar salad. Quiet, romantic, and truly special

Great experience and our waitress was really nice. The food was delicious. My favorite was the appetizer which was calamari.

Tonight was my first time here with my husband who has been wanting to come for three years.
Staff was nice. The music was a little too loud and it didn't help that we were sat directly underneath the speaker.

The bread was fantastic. The king crab legs were good, but not great. They came warm but got very cold almost immediately which kinda sucked.
My husband got the A5 wagyu and loved it. The mac & cheese was very good too, but again, wasn't hot enough and got cold within 3 minutes.
It was $5 for a soda and they don't offer free refills.
They asked if we wanted different colored lines, offered three different types of water, and gave us hot towels with eucalyptus scent on them after the meal, all which I personally think was all a little tacky and gimmicky. None of that, in my opinion, justifies the prices lol.
Our waiter and his assistant both had very strong accents so it was really hard trying to understand them, especially with the loud music.
The bill came out to be $600. I will not be coming back as I personally do not think it was worth that but it was a decent experience.
