We’re lucky to have Steingold’s in Chicago, making bagels and Jewish deli foods just as good as NY’s best. Takeout from the Humboldt Park spot is always fast, fresh and ultra friendly thanks to dedicated folks like Jet!

This place is a staple in our weekend (& sometimes week day!!) routine. Incredible bagels that are only exceeded by the customer service. Great, cheerful, upbeat staff. Would give this place 15 stars if I could.

Finally the tasty, chewy bagel I've been searching for in Chicago. I got a half-dozen to have at home. I'm not a bagel-sandwich fan, so I can't comment on that. The bagels are fabulous toasted even after freezing. There are so many seeds on them that I could start a spice trade business just with the poppy seeds that fell off while slicing them.

Really good. I grew up on the east coast and have never found a bagel in chicago this good. Really impressed!! Please bring back the pumpernickel bagels.
I’ve been here several times because I live nearby and want to love this place. Nearly every time my order has been wrong. Today I was given a garlic bagel instead of onion and a $2.50 layer of cream cheese that doesn’t even cover the bagel and feels like they are trying to upsell “extra cream cheese” just to get a reasonable amount. I don’t want to leave a bad review but want someone at Steingold’s to be aware that they could be losing customers because of some of these issues.

Flavor was 10/10. Best bagel i’ve had in Chicago yet. exterior was perfectly crusty, and the interior was chewy the more you bit it. I do think they lack some denseness though, def worth a visit if you love bagels.
Bomb food and nice staff! I’ve pretty much perfected my takeout order at this point; highly recommend the babka latte and nutella rugelach. Bagels are great too :) no seating, takeout only

Za’atar BEC with mayo. Was a solid 7.4/10, nothing too special/don’t put it in consideration with best BECs but was very good overall. Little too pricey in my opinion (as they all are).
Layout of the place is a bit awkward as it sandwiches you between the cashier, kitchen, and office. No chairs as well but everything is clean.
Enjoyed it but probably wouldn’t stress coming back based on location/isn’t special/pricey.

Came here on a Monday morning to get some bagels with my family. They have a nice selection of bagels and spread. This place does not have an area to sit as an fyi. It took about 10 minutes to get our bagels. I got a poppy seed bagel with veggie cream cheese it was good and the cream cheese was a great consistency not watery like some places. My son got a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and my partner a Za’atar bagel with veggie cream cheese. He enjoyed it and said it was full of spices.
It was a good place to stop by before a park hang or when you’re in Humboldt.

The everything bagel pastrami sandwich I ordered was, sadly, almost inedibly salty. The bagel was so over salted and I usually love a salty bagel! The pastrami amount was pretty small, too. My husband’s pizza bagel was great.
