Out of the limited bagel options in Chicago, Steingold’s is my favorite. And their jumbo black and white cookies slap.

My teens wanted to try this place for lunch based on reviews, but it was a poor experience. Upon walking in, there is an unpleasant smell slightly stale and dank. The cashier was rude and seemed inconvenienced, even telling the next customers to 'look at a paper menu so you are not lurking.' Our hot sandwiches were very greasy with minimal meat, and the mustard was unappetizing. After spending $100, half the kids were still hungry. Better value elsewhere.

The best bagel and lox in the city! I love the walk-up window as I'm able to order ahead and pick it up while out on a walk with my dog.

Great, delightful bagels. We probably ordered them once a week.

I ordered the everything bagel with corn beef and coleslaw. It was definitely tasty but I would have preferred the corn beef to be served heated up rather than cold. The bagel was perfect. Also, we were all set to sit outside since the inside tables were cramped. Unfortunately, the tables were dirty and we stayed inside.

Got two bacon & egg sandwiches with cream cheese and they were perfect. Bagel has a slightly crunchy exterior but soft inside. They also do a fried egg on the sandwich! Would highly recommend

Steingold's FTW - lazy/late Memorial Monday morning, out-of-town buddy wanted bagels. Nabbed the last couple plain's, regular cream cheese for me, and smoked jalapeno for my bud. Perfectly toasted, and plenty of cheese.

Before Saturdays Cubs we stopped in. It was 61 outside but there was a strong wind blow ing at 13 MPH. The windows facing Clark were WIDE open... my IPhone told me it felt like 46.
We asked the manager if he could close the windows...he just shrugged. UNACCEPTABLE...AVOID this place and its management that really doesn't want you to be comfortable> I am a Cubs STH and I will NEVER ever go back.

My son was VERY excited to have his first bagel today. Gluten free/vegan bagel along with vegan cream cheese. & the cold brew is very good as well!

We were just in town for a quick weekend and people have been telling me for years that if I’m in Chicago I need to check out Steingold’s. OMG it did NOT disappoint. I ordered the Grandma Rachel sandwich and the Babka latte. Both were divine. The sandwich was seriously perfection and I loved that the latte had a ton of flavor but wasn’t too sweet. Also, as out of towners it was easy to find parking less than 5 minutes from the restaurant even on a Sunday during brunch rush. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Chicago. It was outrageously good. It’s a place that really lives up to the hype.
