Great Friday, Fish, Burger & Polish. Loved the Bluegill & potato pancakes
The food is great. I grew up in Hegewisch and to have this establishment still operating speaks volumes of its reputation. It's the waiting that's horrendous. Went to dinner with family and friends and waited for 45 minutes until we put in our order and more time waiting for it to be served. Hire more waitresses. It's obvious the 2 waitresses running around needed help.
Great food. Meatloaf is delicious. Old school vibe where you walk in and feel like you are at home. The bartenders are swell ( Teddy, Heather, Al and the rest), the kitchen staff is helpful (Johnny and Jimmy). That is only surpassed by the genuineness of the owners. Stop by and enjoy all this establishment has to offer. You shall not be disappointed.

Really good fish and sides. Also it is really reasonable on the price.
The place was overcrowded. It took 1.5 hours for us to get our meals. The crab cake dinner was not worth $17.95. I would have given a lower rating if it was available.
Food was great but the servers decided to rustle through a bucket of silverware so loudly during the speeches.
Great fish fry, a lot of choices. There should have some more waitresses. The ones there are very good, but they could of used some help.
