I am from out of state and just moving here. My bag got lost at united and it had my ID. I have been here nearly 2 weeks. Tonight I tried to go to Streeter’s and was denied entry. If it was my first time here, I could have been fine with that. It’s like my third time here. The door guy (white man) was rude (I am black and trans do with that what will). Like Chicago is a hub city. You get ppl from all over the world with different rules and expectations. I’m 36 years old and being denied access to bar I was already let into. Make it make sense.

I love a good Chicago dive bar and this is the best one in the city. The bartender Mo (Maureen?) was so funny and easy to talk to. She would join our Love Island USA talk and made us laugh so hard all while tending to the bar. Shoutout Streeters and shoutout Mo!

When I lose my job I relapse not too much fam. Don't worry just a little bit. This is the first time I have posted any pictures with Guinness in the bar in the last 5 years. I'm not perfect. You know what I'm saying I'm solo 🤪
One thing I can tell you if I walk in the bar or the restaurant empty before I get there the minute I get there and I'll sit down It gets filled so quickly with people and I never even know why.
Let's go explore more places. I'm not carrying backpack today so nobody going to see me suspicious
