Well, it’s pretty rare that I decide to post a negative review to tell you honestly I got there larger plate steak and their grilled coconut shrimp. The steak and potatoes were cold and rubbery and not great at all. The coconut shrimp by the way was pretty decent.
The waiter asked me how my food was going and I said it’s actually not very good at all and he said oh OK and walked off.
I would definitely not recommend coming back unless you’re just looking for a drink

The space is nice and the staff are kind, but the food and cocktails are nothing special! I expected much more especially from their bar, but the cocktails we ordered were not as good! Also, their website says they close at 12 but they closed at 11 while we got there at 10:15 and as soon as we sat they said the last call for both food and drink is at 10:30.

A friend and I patronized Streeterville Social this past Sunday and were appalled by the service. Our reservation was at 2pm. She arrived on time and was able to be seated. I arrived shortly after at about 2:15 and by that point she had not received any service. After I arrived, we sat for another 10 or so minutes and still no one even looked our way. No hello, no waters, nothing. It was especially disappointing to see a table who arrived after us be immediately greeted by a server and given waters. We ultimately left and surely will not be returning.

Has absolutely no view of the air and water show even though it was explicitly advertised.

Doesn’t matter if you booked months in advance. If there’s a private booking that pops up last minute you’ll be kicked with no other accommodations.

A truly wonderful place that makes you want to come back. One summer evening, my friend and I went to the bar. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the manager’s name, but he was incredibly attentive: he took photos of us together, and when a heavy rain started, he kindly offered to move us under shelter, brought all our food over, and even gave us umbrellas. You don’t often see this level of care from management — he did everything to make sure we were comfortable. The rain passed, but the memories of that lovely evening and the staff’s kindness stayed with us.

The food here was incredible - the hurricane fries are to die for.
The rooftop view was beautiful!
Even better, the entire staff was incredibly kind and accommodating.
Would highly recommend to everyone!

Where to start? They called us 10 minutes before our reservation saying “the kitchen was broken” but we could still come have drinks. This was on a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend, so we weren’t sure if we’d be able to sit down anywhere else, especially with a larger group, so we asked if we would be permitted to bring in outside food, to which we were rudely told no. The host continued to have an attitude towards us. Then we were informed the kitchen was working again and were taken to our seats where we were reminded multiple times we had 2 hours and no more to sit and eat.
Our group had made 2 reservations but one of our groups was sat at the sofas, which is super ineffective for actually eating food. Most of us had to eat with our plates in our laps, which for the price and “experience” cost is unacceptable. We were also seated behind plants and a concrete barrier so we couldn’t see much of the “rooftop” view.
Additionally, one of our groups was asked for a card to hold, the other was not. Incredibly unprofessional, this should be a policy for all guests or no one.
I paid $16 for maybe 6 oz of a cocktail and $24 for an average burger. Maybe happy hour is more worth it but dinner is certainly not, especially considering the less than stellar service and the fact that your rooftop view comes with blaring sirens.

Came here with my friends during our first time in Chicago. Victor and Maria were so hospitable and friendly. They were so nice to chat with us throughout the night. The drinks that they made us were so delicious. The perfect way to end the night, will definitely be back next time we’re in the city.

Don’t waste your money at this place. Staff was rude and the patio view sucks. Parking is a joke, don’t be late or they will charge you, and you have limited time to dine sine they will tell you to leave to accommodate other guests. Go eat by the river.

I really want to like this place as it’s such a great venue but the food, service and apathetic management make it so hard. Wrong food delivered, slow service and a manager who basically said. “ yeah. That sucks” made is a massive disappointment.
Streeterville Social is a hidden gem in the heart of the city — a rooftop that truly lives up to its name. The outdoor ambiance is absolutely beautiful, with stylish seating and greenery that creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. It wasn’t crowded when we visited, which made it the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy some cocktails, and have easy conversation with friends.
Service was excellent from start to finish — attentive, friendly, and never overbearing. Everything felt clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of the experience.
The cocktails were well-crafted and refreshing, and the food hit the mark too — satisfying without being overly heavy, which is just what you’d want for a rooftop setting.

Food was pleasing. It was very displeasing to be served waiting for 30 minutes. Not even drinks for the first 20 minutes.

You can eat there, but I felt like the menu was small.
The draft beers are mostly craft, but if you want to drink Miller Lite, Coors, Corona, etc., only cans are available.
There are a lot of sakes on the bar counter, and there is also a cocktail menu, so you can tell that they are putting a lot of effort into it.
It's the perfect place to have a quick drink while enjoying the evening breeze after having a meal elsewhere. It's outdoors so it has a nice atmosphere and it's not too crowded no matter what time you go, so it's easy to use.
