I was just at the Subterranean this evening and I had to post this review. First let me say the atmosphere is nostalgic and so much more intimate than larger venues. There are a lot of stairs but if stairs aren’t a problem it’s 10/10. But for me they are. But even so the staff was so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure I could still enjoy the show. Never once making me feel uncomfortable for needing accommodations. Had a great time here for a Mystery Skulls concert awhile back! Inexpensive tickets, very intimate venue, it looks like an old Victorian house. You can walk right up next to the stage if you want to, definitely bring ear protection! Felt like the whole place would fall down around us from the bass/everybody jumping around lol. Didn't try the food or drinks so idk how they are. No or very few seats, so I'd consider it standing only and tbh I didn't see any security...

Saw a live show in the basement (which is actually the first floor on street level) and it was great. Free water constantly available which is important since it was very hot. The bar was quick and polite. I highly recommend ear protection as the room is incredibly small and the instruments are very close to you so it's louder/ more painful than your average rock show.
