I have avoided subway since all the scandals surrounding the company .. but the meatball sub we can't get in Europe, and I was hangry so gave in. Service was fine and quick. The restaurant was dirty though, with a nasty smell (rotten food?) by the drinks machine. Toilets were (conveniently?) out of action.

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost three years. I have never had an issue with any of the services so far. Additionally, I must say that the food service is excellent. However, over the past couple of months, I’ve noticed that the restaurant smells terrible, like a gutter, when I enter, especially near the drink fountain. I've repeatedly complained, but the problem remains unresolved. That issue is preventing me from entering the restaurant now because it literally smells like a gutter and a toilet! I am disappointed now, and it’s tough to trust the food.

I placed an order on 8/20/25 7pm for 2 sandwiches through the Subway app from the Wabash Ave. Chicago location. For pickup at 8pm. Within 15 minutes, I received a notification saying my order was prepaid and ready for pickup.

When I called the store to confirms why did they make early, I was told they did not have the sandwich available, so they didn’t prepare it—even though the app clearly showed it was ready. I asked about a refund, and the staff member said she didn’t have the authority to issue one. When I requested to speak with a manager, she later told me the manager said they cannot issue a refund just because the item isn’t available.

This is completely unacceptable. I still haven’t received my refund. I was traveling with my family and in a rush to catch a train, so I couldn’t go to the store in person.

This store engages in misleading practices and provides extremely poor customer service. They charged me for food they never made, refused to refund, and wasted my time. Avoid this location – dishonest and unprofessional.

We took a weekend trip to Chicago this past weekend. We got checked in to our hotel late, it was cold and rainy and we were hungry. After checking Lou Malnati's and seeing a deep dish was going to be about $50, we opted to go to the Subway right across the street.
We ordered online before we went and my son ordered once we got there. Food was ready quickly and was perfect.
We were in Chicago to see the Bright Eyes concert so after the show Saturday we were hungry and decided to just get Subway again. Again I ordered online and my son ordered after we got there. He got his food quickly but it was busy and the one guy working hadn't had a chance to make our online order yet. While we were waiting 2 guys came in. I could tell they had been there before and weren't welcome because the singular worker asked them to leave. They didn't. After going back and forth one of the guys grabbed a soda and some chips and left. The worker called the police and he still got our food to us quickly.
Both nights we had the same guy making our food. I mainly wrote this review for him. He was working his butt off, making orders, super friendly, and dealing with someone robbing him and he stayed calm and still got his work done! I wanted to make sure he got some recognition.

This is the absolute cleanest Subway location I have ever been to. The service is friendly, the sandwiches are actually good, they get your order correct, and all around great service.

It’s Lolla season so restaurants up charge on foods. I was told today that a regular Oven roasted Turkey sandwich is categorized as a “Titan Turkey sub” (an up charge of 80 cents) because the system only has numbers. Ingredients are fresh and the sandwich is good, just make sure to re-check the type of sandwiched ordered before paying.
