The servers only see you as dollar signs, not people.
My partner and I came to eat here while on vacation. As we were waiting for our food, sitting outside, the sun was burning up my head & causing me to feel very hot. I could barely even look across the table at my boyfriend without having to squint it was so bright out. I politely asked an employee if we could move tables to another one in the shade, because our server had disappeared for several minutes. The employee said it was okay. My boyfriend and I grabbed our things and moved over. Right as we were sitting down another server began complaining in Spanish that we had moved tables. They most likely assumed I didn’t understand them, but I am a native Spanish speaker. I heard the complaint and explained sincerely that I was getting hot sitting where we were before, that I would be willing to move anywhere (even inside), I just wanted to be able enjoy my food. The server got very upset because he said it was taking a table from his section. At that point our server came out & also spoke in Spanish & asked why we had moved & said that it wasn’t allowed — almost scolding us in a way. I once again said it was because I was hot.
Throughout the rest of the meal, we were never checked on, my boyfriend had to flag down our server for even minor things like refilling his coffee, they gave us our wrong food (the meal was for another table), then my order came out incorrectly (I had ordered a different side), then we were given the wrong check when it was time to pay (the check was intended for a different table), and then when handed the correct check the server made sure to highlight that 18% gratuity was included. Lovely.
All for wanting to stay cool in some summer heat. Truthfully didn’t think it was a big deal, but it felt extremely unprofessional (as someone who has worked in the restaurant business for years) and put a damper on our vacation.

We had great service, loved the environment, but they hard boiled my poached egg for my classic eggs Benedict. Was a bit disappointed about that but everything else was lovely

Our waitress was simply a sweetheart (didn't catch her name). Even with her foot in a boot she kept a smile on her face and delivered excellent service. I had potatoes, eggs, bacon and a waffle 10/10

I get it that we were lingering after paying and that you had people waiting. Sure, you wanted us out of our seats. However, if I’m still drinking my coffee (the same one you repeatedly topped off), please don’t ask me to leave because you have “a line”. For context, I was having breakfast with a friend from overseas who I haven’t seen in roughly 30 years. It left a less than desirable experience for him. Also, there were plenty of seats inside. Sure it was a nice day and everyone would prefer to sit outside. However, had my guest and I gotten there with the patio filled, we would have gone inside to eat.

We arrived about 40 minutes before closing and were asked if we preferred to sit inside or outside. We said inside, but as we began walking in, the man informed us that the inside was actually closed. As we turned to head outside, an older woman with a pixie cut came from inside, shouting, “We’re closing in 15 minutes. The inside is closed!”
I asked if we would still be served if we sat outside, and she yelled, “I won’t be serving you, they will!” and then slammed the door behind her.
The disrespect and unwelcoming attitude we received led us to leave. Very disappointing experience.
