The staff was very rude and not attentive. It was really slow in the restaurant it was my table and 1 other table. We ordered 3 entrees but they forgot one of them and didn’t check up on us till it was time for the check. I got the wrong order of sushi as well and when I asked to switch they didn’t do that either. When it was time to pay and we decided not to tip the waitress questioned us on why we didn’t tip just because she forgot a plate and was very passive aggressive about it and walked off very rude when we told her we are not tipping for poor service.
I ordered the salmon ceviche maki and seaweed salad and both tasted super fresh and delicious!
Aiden was absolutely wonderful! He was so personable and very quick to grab whatever we needed! He also had great recommendations! Lovely guy. He has made a customer for life!
Sushi is always delicious and delivered on time. Have always loved your food!!!
I love this place, I live down the street and go often. It’s super fresh and their spicy salmon roll is packed with a lot of salmon for $8 and 6 pieces. This is my favorite sushi in the city. Service is always so nice too.
We had a reservation for 9 - sat promptly and cordially. At 9:20 - before our first drinks or appetizers had arrived - we were informed we would have to order our last food round (we tend to order a couple of rolls at a time) as the kitchen was closing, we then proceeded to be rushed at every opportunity resulting in us being handed a check at 9:40 and out the door at 9:45. If your closing hours are posted at 10 then your kitchen stays open until 10 and you do not rush your customers. This was a birthday dinner and it was ruined by your unprofessional behavior. You lost a very dedicated customer (we pop in here for lunch and dinner at least a 10-12 times a year)
Great sushi, good service
Good fish
The food and ambience is very good but we have had problems with the service there several times. Some servers don't speak English very well and are not well trained.
I’ve never had an attitude and bad service like that before the server was really rude
Perfectly serviceable sushi after catching a film at the Music Box. While I would welcome a place like this in my own neighborhood, I would not go out of way to eat at this pleasant neighborhood spot. To be fair, I have been spoiled by Jinsei Motto, which is the gold standard in Chicago. Next to that, this sushi was fairly run-of-the-mill. But, again, a pleasant place to grab some ok sushi after a movie in a warm, welcoming atmosphere with terrific, attentive service.

The chef surprised us with best of his 5 rolls ! In and out of his menu! And we really surprised really good and fresh sushi and the old fashion was exactly mixed !

The sushi here is really good and tastes fresh. The Lake Shore Drive roll was the stand out for me. The service left a little to be desired. Not terrible by any means, but our server could’ve been more attentive. We were finished and I asked for the check and she must’ve forgot and we couldn’t get her attention for another 20 minutes. Could’ve been a one-off here but it was annoying enough to take a star off the review.

I like sushi here a lot but Tonkotsu ramen was horrible. Never order ramen again. We couldn’t eat ramen at all.
