The sushi menu is a step above the typical items you would find in a Japanese restaurant. Everything was very high quality, fresh and unusual. The tuna options were terrific. The place was somewhat noisy with all the high top tables which were close together, but the noise didn't interfere with conversation. Definitely worth it.

Some of the fastest service I have ever experienced! Wow! I did not feel rushed at all, just amazingly fast service. I did not care for the ol' optional 3.5% mark up. Just ask for them to remove it and they will. Food was really good though. We will return.

I recently dined at Sushi San in Chicago, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! The ambiance was inviting, creating a great atmosphere for enjoying a meal. However, I did have a disappointing experience with the front desk staff. They seemed inflexible and condescending when it came to managing modifications to our reservation, which was disheartening. Given the high standards that Sushi San upholds in other areas, I believe that the front desk team could benefit from better customer service training. A more accommodating and understanding approach would truly enhance the overall dining experience. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and the environment, but I hope to see improvements in staff interactions in the future.🫶🏻

Busy, noisy space. Sushi was innovative and high quality. We were very disappointed about Wagyu special and returned to kitchen but was charged anyway.

I love the express lunch menu! Tuna crispy rice and the Vietnamese pork are my absolute favorites! It's plenty of food too for one person! Can't go wrong with any of the makis but the tuna avocado one is the best!
It is always good to be able to have sushi with old-school hip-hop playing in the background. Great service. The express lunch is a great option.

Second visit, tako taco and wagyo tartar highly recommended. Deluxe nigiri very fresh. Yellowtail sushi had great flavors, very fresh. Will return and try more apps and salads next.
