Fun experience! Appreciated the small group size and definitely something unique to do in the city.

Sushi by Bou, Suite 202 at The Lincoln, Chicago — A World-Class Omakase Experience Sushi by Bou's Suite 202 at The Lincoln delivers an omakase experience that stands confidently among the very best I've had, including some exceptional meals in Japan. From the moment you step into the intimate, speakeasy-style space, it's clear this is a chef-driven counter built around precision, hospitality, and restraint. Chef Chris was outstanding. His command of the counter, calm confidence, and attention to detail set the tone for the evening. Each course was deliberate and thoughtful, showcasing pristine fish, expertly seasoned rice, and a pacing that allowed every bite to land exactly as intended. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt indulgent for the sake of indulgence. It was disciplined, elegant sushi. The progression of the omakase was superb, moving seamlessly from clean, delicate cuts to richer, more expressive pieces. Highlights included beautifully marbled tuna, pristine white fish with subtle acidity, and composed bites finished with caviar, seaweed, or warm rice elements that added depth without overpowering the fish. The balance between texture, temperature, and seasoning was exceptional throughout. What truly elevates Sushi by Bou Suite 202 is how personal the experience feels. With only a handful of seats, Chef Chris engages naturally, explaining selections without over-narrating, reading the room, and tailoring the flow to the guests at the counter. It feels less like a restaurant and more like being invited into a private tasting. The drink pairings complemented the meal perfectly, and the overall atmosphere, refined yet relaxed, made the evening memorable from start to finish. Simply put, this was the best omakase I've had since Japan. Sushi by Bou Suite 202 is a must-visit for anyone serious about sushi in Chicago, and Chef Chris is the real deal.

The experience was amazing! I expected each course to be delicious but it went beyond expectations. It was definitely a special experience. Service was superb. Definitely a fun way to celebrate a special occasion with a small group.

Had an amazing time celebrating my birthday! Did a solo date. Only issue is there was a hair in one of my serving but he quickly fixed it.

Absolutely excellent! Each piece of sushi was carefully prepared and presented. The quality was top notch and highly enjoyable. We were fortunate enough to experience Sushi Suite while in town.

Incredible variety of flavor while maintaining a genuine experience! Favorites included truffle and lime zest. Also, hands down the best uni I've ever had (granted, only my second... But the first was at a michelin star in NYC).

I'm from out of town and decided to pick this restaurant for my birthday as I wanted to do a highly rated omakase experience with close friends who also traveled. I was especially excited because of the very intimate atmosphere that was described, since there are only 6 seats available in a hotel room, kind of like speakeasy style. The food was amazing and the chef was also great and really fun to talk to. However, I was honestly very disappointed with the service. I have done omakase another time before and learned that if you show up late, you will start late and miss out on some of the courses. So I made sure that we showed up 15 minutes early as requested. Despite that, we waited for a total of 45 minutes, and started our experience 30 minutes after our scheduled start. I find it hypocritical that I will be charged a late fee or even cancelled yet still charged if I show up late, but there was absolutely no service or even apologies for starting so late and having to wait almost an hour at the bar while another group was obviously being taken priority of. Then, there is a small lounge section directly behind the omakase bar for the leaving group to finish drinks at, etc. I think this is a fine concept. Except for that this group was EXTREMELY loud and disruptive, to the point where we could not hear what our sushi chef was saying to us. I was disappointed with this because that is part of the omakase experience that I really enjoy; learning about the fish and talking with the chef. But it was to the point where our group could only converse with the people directly next to who you were sat to. Now, I am not angry or upset at the prior group. However I am upset that the team at Sushi Suite did not recognize how this was interrupting our paid experience and politely trying to fix the situation so we could have had a similar experience to them, because I assure you my group was not disruptive to either our prior or the next group when it was our turn in the lounge. It just felt like they did not care about our experience. We even bought our sushi chef a round of drinks, and I feel like it just showed our emphasis on being good polite guests but not getting nearly the same treatment back. Furthermore, tips are automatically included in the bill. This is fine and understandable for this type of restaurant and experience, however this is not advertised anywhere when I made a reservation. And for once, I would've actually probably tipped less than I was forced to because of my disappointing experience with the service, which I would have reflected on my tip. So truthfully, I don't know if I would go again. Obviously I'm sure this experience does not happen often, but if there were ever any kind of disturbance in your experience, I would not expect the service to be reflected to change that as I feel like other fine dining experiences would.

This place is overpriced and focused more on getting you drunk than having an excellent dining experience. Bou from sushi from Bou is a white guy who is focused more on making money than giving a delicious experience.

This was.... literally one of our best date nights ever. Highly recommend surprising your date (or whoever you bring here) - it was incredible. The Chef, the sushi itself, the cocktails, etc. were all a 12/10. I cannot say enough about this place!
