This place fell off. Just not great anymore. Did not have a single roll that was good, tried about 10 different kinds.

The food was very delicious. The service was good, we were checked in often for our orders. They were very quick and attentive to the food. They explained what each dish was when they dropped it off. It was very cleanly in the restaurant and the music was good.

I will say one downside, I went to the bathroom, the same time as the worker. The worker used the restroom and did not wash their hands afterwards and exited. During this time she was working in the kitchen area and not the serving floor. I will say that was off-putting.

My server was Paulo. From the moment I walked by myself because being obese requires many solo dinners. I was seated immediately. Wow. This guy place really lives up to its reputation. The best all you can eat. I loved the baked oysters. Quick service. Delicious food and nice atmosphere. I couldn’t finish it all. They gave me a nice Togo box and bag.

I will definitely be back. Keep up the great work. You deserve the success.

The server couldn't have been Kinder and we were seated right away. Sushi taku is pretty much always packed.

I think a big part of it is that their prices are generally reasonable. I would not say that this is the best sushi I've ever had. Nothing was bad but just regular sushi. The standout dish for me was the salmon salad. It was basically chopped fresh salmon with spicy mayo served over seaweed salad. That was a great dish and only $5.

I have loved dining in at the logan square location in the past, but I’m disappointed after ordering for takeout at this location. They said it would take an extra 20 minutes and I understand being backed up having worked in food service, but they made ME feel bad about not being able to wait and possibly canceling my order. I wasn’t trying to be difficult, was just in a time crunch :( They were able to get it out to me in about ~10 extra minutes, but when I opened it up the avocado was brown and I found MULTIPLE thick hairs in one of my rolls. I am pretty disappointed

The greatest thing this place has is that it is pretty inside.

Service was rude and unwelcoming, how seat multiple people on a table give them 1 menu and expect everyone to be ready 30seconds after we sit down. Its common sense to give everyone a menu, not just 1 menu for the whole table.

Wasabi was so stale it is cracking, meaning it was pre-made hours ago and left sitting. Same for the ginger.
The sushi was very not good, doesn't use fresh ingredients, you can tell the cucumbers were old and stale. They were non crunchy cucumbers, more flat and chewy when bitten, avocado was green and hard, the rice is very dry and stale also.

Very poor ingredients, unphased staff, ive been here 3 times and each time is such a disappointment.

Go to ESushi next to draft picks for great quality sushi all you can eat. This place is a cash grab and a joke

A few other reviews mention food poisoning and I sincerely wish I read them before ordering from here. Suffering terribly as I write this review. Would never eat here again and absolutely do not recommend

All you can eat sushi for a fairly solid price. Service is friendly and fast, but the dishes can be a bit hit or miss quality wise, but that's to be expected for an all you can eat spot.

Still worth your time for the value.

I love this place. It was excellent, reasonably priced for all you can eat, and the food was good too. From all the rolls, one of my favorites is Godzilla. The only downside is that I wanted to try fried oysters, but I only had two pieces instead of four because I was kind of full and not sure I was going to like them, but they can not do it I don't know why.

The food tasted great, and came out looking like we expected. I really liked the attention to detail on the rolls, but the raw sushi was just really tasty. Me and my group of four requested a booth, and our hostess was kind and let us know we would be well taken care of.

However, that was not the case. Truly, our server was really quite mean. Not just unfriendly, or low-energy; Truly a bully to our table. From the way he filled our waters (which we constantly had to ask for), he had nasty side comments under his breath the whole evening, and even slammed our food on the table. At points throughout our night, he even walked across the room, pointed at our booth, and laughed at me and my friends. Truly an unprofessional if I've ever seen one.

It's high time this restaurant trims the fat and cleans up it's service team. If there are one or two bad apples, the whole bunch is ruined. Sadly, I will not be back to Sushi Taku (or it's sister locations).

(P.S. Even as I write this review, it's been 25 minutes waiting for a single order of Fried Oreos for dessert. Be so serious.)

Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. The staff were unfriendly and seemed uninterested in helping customers. The way they greeted us felt careless and unprofessional. I hope the management improves the customer service in the future.
