Sushi was good, not the best I've ever had but definitely good for the price. I don't know our servers name, but she wasn't particularly friendly with us. However, the men who bussed our table and refilled our waters were very kind. No wait on a Saturday evening which was great, lovely restaurant as well.

The service was good and the restaurant is much easier to park and reach than the other location. Unfortunately, the sushi was not as good. The rice was really hard and fish was cut too large and kind of fatty. Tasted like grocery store sushi. The desserts were also hard to eat. Sadly, we won’t be returning to this one.

Well despite trying to hold in paper real money a coworker brought up this place there are two locations to one in wicker Park and I went to the one in Logan square because he had friends that he invited and he thought this was a budget for sushi versus going to sushi station for example or any of those sushi places where there's a conveyor belt that can get expensive. For a buffet I was actually surprised how fresh tasting as well as the looks of the sushi. Service was atentative and friendly. Ambience was a little more modern or contemporary just like most restaurants it's not dreary or looks like it's from the 1970s. The only thing I did not like is the fact that you have to order once and if you order again it's going to take a good 20 or 30 minutes for the second round for the buffet other than that I actually did like the sushi especially the eel the egg or tomato they're salmon or sake tasted very fresh. As well as the smoke Sweet roll which if you order these individually can get expensive it seems like but they always offer the buffet it seems. The Miso soup was also good for appetizer the muscle surprisingly was also delicious too and I usually don't like to eat mussels especially Filipino style but this is Japanese and they had a savory sweet aftertaste and not that iron taste that most muscles taste like calamari was decently good they give you the thai sweet sauce for that. Other than that I would give it four stars it's not really a perfect five but it's getting up there second to none. I don't know if this would really be truly Japanese traditionally but they also have the sesame balls which is more dim sum so I kind of look at this Asian fusion for modern Asian fusion. Also the table I was sitting they had like the knats so I was a little Disturbed trying to eat trying to drive the knats or flies away. Another reason for the four stars

Just had a first time experience. My own ignorance on the food I was receiving lead me to leaving a poor review. This led directly to the owner calling me to explain what I have. Not only do I feel pretty stupid, but I have a new appreciation for my wife and I's favorite local sushi place.
