Overall food was ok. My wife raved about the organic greens and berry salad. My BLT was a bit disappointing. The tomato on it was literally cut in half and place on the sandwich. Too large to bite into. The service was good and the ambiance was nice.

Food and service was good. I was a bit disappointed at the prices, especially $4 for a cup of drip coffee. For two $8 is too much. The Capuccino was only $3.50. If I would have seen the fine print, I would have chosen the Latte or the Cappuccino. In my opinion this is price gouging. Breakfast for three was about $65, when in reality it should have been below $40. Steep on the pricing!

Beautiful looking place, EXCELLENT coffee. Unfortunately, my meal was so horrible that I could not eat it. Please fire the cook(s) who allowed for horribly under cooked (mostly RAW) eggs. I sent back the first one, hoping it was a fluke. When the server (a very nice woman) brought me the replacement, it was cold. Please do better. Good places are increasingly difficult to find and I'd like to see that change for the better.

This was a great experience. The atmosphere was great and the service was to. I am a person who's experience is largely influenced by the service and this did not disappoint. Our waitress was very personable and made sure we has a pleasant experience. She's the one from Costa Rica, if you go their. The food was very good. I had the steak and eggs and the steak was cooked perfectly as I ordered.I hope they keep up the quality of service because if they do, I've found my new regular breakfast spot.

Highly recommended. I"m 6 weeks late since they opened but we finally stopped by on a Friday. I was pleasantly surprised on the bright, modern decor. Most neighborhood breakfast spots have upped their game & Sweet Cafe doesn't disappoint. I'll have to try the breakfast cocktails next time. I had a the Greek omelette. It's perfect. Hate it when other places over do it on the Feta cheese. Coffee passed my wife's critique & I think the espresso is by Illy. We were sat in the main dining room, but they have a adjacent sunroom that must be great in the summer months.Only con is the parking. Better to park on the side street. The restaurant was about 60% full and the lot was full with most Suv's & pickups were taking up 1.5 spots but hey that's Chicago.Food was served quickly, our waitress took great care of us. Prices were reasonable & the food was excellent!

We had a fabulous breakfast this morning; our group of seven was treated like family! Service was superb and the food was fabulous. They even have lattes. Highly recommend this restaurant; we'll be coming back.

went here because of an article in eater online.many years back went to their original restaurant in desplaines. so where do i begin;restaurant clean, bright and minimalist in decoration.food outstanding and on the inventive side.i started my meal with carrot, apple and ginger juice 6 oz. size next time will order larger one, just yummy. now onto my entree i had the eggs Benedict with sausage, poached egg and instead of sausage gravy, hollandaise on theside. it comes with a choice of potatoes and i choose house potatoes BEST ever super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.definitely will return!!!!?

Good service but unfortunately I was disappointed, the food was oily, even the scrambled eggs were shiny with so much oil, the becon was not crispy but hard and difficult to chew, the potatoes were also full of oil and almost burnt because they were so fried. The dishes are well served but tasteless.

We have been waiting so long for this spot to open ! Absolutely did not disappoint; high quality food; fresh and not greasy. Amazing coffee and espresso martinis were top notch. Our server was Sandee she was very personal and attentive would go back just to see her. Overall grateful for this addition to the neighborhood.
