Walked to the restaurant and they told me they aren't open for a week even though there were people eating inside. And even though it says they are open on Google.

Eventhough food is very delicious here. They dont respect the opening hours. I came one day and they were closed, i came today oct 1 2024 at 4:27pm and they said business is closed. Isnt it closing at 9pm? I value my time & i wont spend my time or money here anymore. Oh also they dont answer their phone.

I love traveling to try new food. And places like Sweet Cafe Chicago are what make traveling worth it. The cook at this restaurant in Chinatown knows how to make their dishes delicious and memorable. The prices are unexpectedly affordable for the location. I got the Mouth Fragrant Lamp Chops (17.95), Egg Yolk Chicken Wings (13.95), Teochew Style Dumplings (5.50) and Fish Roe Siu Mai (5.95). I recommend all those dishes. I've never seen dumplings and siu mai that big and only cost that little. The lamp chops and the wings taste really different and delicious and can't be found elsewhere. I hope this restaurant keeps getting great business. They deserve to last a long time and become a staple in Chicago Chinatown. My only small suggestions are having sauce cups available on tables and maybe add a special dipping sauce that complements the egg yolk wings.

The must have Buddha back there cooking ...you can taste the love...I never had Chinese food prepared so amazingly... definitely dine in!!!! Best spot hands down..ask for Sophie ..we will be back

Lovely place, we had dim sum which was delicious and flavorful. The server was super nice and helped explain the menu so that we could make great choices.
I am SO happy that I decided to read some reviews and also look at the menu and food options that were here before I stopped by today.
I came here for lunch with my daughter and was greeted so nicely by Sophia. I saw in some of the previous reviews that people had so many great things to say about her customer service and now I understand. She greeted my daughter and I so nicely, she even came to sit with us while I tried figuring out what to order. She also suggested some of their delicious food items as well. I went with the spicy shrimp, shrimp fried rice, lamb chops, white rice and spring rolls and orange chicken. It was SO DELICIOUS. My family and I loved everything!
Sophia was also so kind to my daughter since we had to wait for 15 mins for our food she gave her something complimentary to drink. I can’t say enough great things about sweet cafe customer service and food. Thank you SO MUCH!

The woman in the front name Sophia is one of the most nicest people in the world. The atmosphere in this place is so warm and comforting. She will show you pictures of the meals. If you don’t know what they look like she let you ask as many questions as you want without getting frustrated, she was so hospitable and just was one of the sweetest most nicest humans I’ve ever encountered. The food was served with a smile and was delicious and seasoned. I definitely recommend this place.

So good! My family went here for lunch today and all three dishes we ordered were FANTASTIC! Ordered the sichuan fish, sichuan chicken, and salt and pepper wings and loved all three. Food came out pretty quickly and servers were warm and friendly. Will come again!

Its a little café. We had a big group and they rearranged everything in the restaurant to fit us in. They were super nice and they helped us out in so many ways. They walked us to the car and told us where to park. They even found us when we left a water bottle in the restaurant and gave it back. Also everythingwe ate tasted wonderful. Will definitely go there again.
