I don't have a picture...I ate it super quick and it was take out and the picture didn't do justice. Random stop and it was absolutely incredible. I will be back this week to try another menu item!Clean, fresh, large portions, packed with flavor, great variety and decent prices.I had the arepa with beef, plantains, marinated veggies and added carribean cheese. It was SO delicious! The arepa itself was one of the best I've had... together this was a party for my taste buds!!

By far the best tasting arepas around

Excellent place! I have been twice since covid and I can't wait to actually dine in. The avocado chicken is delicious, as are the plantains and lime veggies. The staff was very friendly both times and I can't wait to go back.

Loved this spot. Got one of their rice bowls which was super delicious with lots of options outside of your typical rice bowls. Highly recommend the plantains as an add-in. Super friendly staff and will def pop in again.

I ordered today Pabellon Bowl and Chachapa Barbacoa and everything was so fresh and flavorful. The portions are huge and the prices are affordable taking into consideration the amount and quality of food you get. I'm very happy to have tried this restaurant for the first time today and for sure will continue ordering because the food is so delicious, authentic, and remind me Venezuela. Congratulations to the owners and staff. Excellent job.

Absolutely loved the food! The portions are big, definitely a good bang for your buck My fiancé had the arepa with barbacoa, plantains, and caribbean cheese. I had the plantain bowl with avocado chicken, cheese, and marinated veggies. I got the garlic sauce per other yelp reviews and it was so good! Overall the flavors were fresh and very refreshing.

During this COVID-19 stay-at-home period, we only get takeout once a week, and Sweet Pepper is always a favorite. Super-stuffed arepas (especially the shredded chicken with black beans and cheese - don't forget the lime vegetables on top)! Plantain chips! Deep-fried Caribbean cheese with garlic sauce! Friendliest owner-operators! Reasonable prices! PERFECTION. They've now been open for two years in the neighborhood - looking forward to many more

We stumbled across this place a few months ago, and have had nothing but great experiences with the food and staff. The location is unassuming, and we almost missed it, but it's definitely a gem!

Sweet Pepper has yet to disappoint! My family can have a hard time agreeing on a restaurant, but Sweet Pepper is our go to whenever my parents are in town. I usually go for a chicken rice bowl, but Saturday I switched it up with a salad. The vegetables were fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly portioned. I also tried part of my Mom's traditional cachapa. I wish I had ordered my own. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed. From the meats to the sides to the desserts, it's all delicious. The garlic sauce is my favorite thing to mix into an arepa or bowl, can't go wrong. A great place to go if you're in the mood for something fast casual but different than the corporate fare, give them a try!

Food was amazingly delicious! Where to start?! Their arepas are so soft and fluffy! The Pabellon was so flavorful and there was so much of it stuffed in the arepas. Also, the best plantains I’ve had in the city! And, the sauces...yummy! Lots of gluten free options too. If you’re in the neighborhood, definitely stop in and support this husband and wife owned small business!

Just ordered a take order from here... Food was very very good. No negative comments here.. Would totally come back here again, and hopefully be able to eat inside sometime soon...

Barbacoa cachapa, chicken empanadas, tequenos. All fantastic. Ordered the empanada because I didn't know if the cachapa would be enough. The empanada was stuffed and about twice as big as your average empanada. Ate all of it anyway; it was delicious. The tequenos were very much like a homemade cheese stick in a delicious croissant-like crust. The sauce they were served worked great. The cachapa was like a quesadilla in cornbread rather than tortilla. It was a bit rich with all the cheese and barbacoa, but delicious nonetheless. I will be ordering it again for sure.
